Top Premier League Predictions for Game Week 35

Top Premier League Predictions for Game Week 35
Fri 7th May 2021

Game Week 35 is shaping up to be great, with the Spurs continuing their desperate push for a top 4 finish against Leeds, and headlined by a very interesting clash between the Champions League finalist’s Manchester City and Chelsea which foreshadows the Final later this month.

Leeds vs Tottenham Hotspur

Saturday, May 8th, 7.00 AM (EDT)

Saturday morning sees Leeds welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Elland road for the first time since all the way back in 2013 when the teams met in the F.A Cup.

After their 1-0 cup final defeat to Man City a little over a week ago, Spurs got back to form with a solid 4-0 win on home soil against the soon to be relegated Sheffield United.

It was a dominant performance from the London side, highlighted by a world class performance from club legend, Gareth Bale, who banged in 3 brilliant goals for his third Spurs’ hat trick.

Since the appointment of Ryan Mason as interim head coach the Spurs have won both of their games in the league, however, both games were played against bottom 6 clubs.

Up against a Leeds side who have enjoyed taking points from top teams this season, this game is likely to prove much more of a challenge for the former Spurs’ men.

On top of their pre existing injury to Helder Costa, Leeds took a hit this week with the news that Kalvin Phillips and their star playmaker, Raphinha, may be deemed unfit to play, with Marco Biesla leaving the decision late.

Spurs on the other hand will be fielding their strongest possible team, with their only out being to Ben Davies with a calf issue.

When these two met in the reverse fixture it was a one sided performance which saw the Spurs take the points in a convincing 3-0 win, Leeds have played much better at home this season but with some big outs to the squad we are expecting another win for the Spurs in this one.

EPL Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur (+100)
Best Prop: Over 2.5 Goals / YES: -152

Manchester City vs Chelsea

Saturday, May 8th, 12.30 PM (EDT)

With both sides officially booking their place in the 2020/21 Champions League final, this Saturday’s battle between Manchester City and Chelsea is all the more exciting.

City completely dismantled PSG on home soil this week, putting 2 goals past the Parisian giants while restricting them to 0 shots on target for a clean sheet win, 4-1 on aggregate over the 2 legs.

It was a similar story for Chelsea as they hosted Real Madrid, the Blues were clinical against the Los Blancos, making the most of their 32% possession and scoring twice, including a goal from Timo Werner who missed a gilt edged chance in the first leg.

The last time that City and the Blues met was in the F.A Cup semi final, the match ended 1-0 the way of Chelsea thanks to Hakim Ziyech’s lone goal.

Today the game is played in Manchester, and with Chelsea’s unbeaten away run now sitting at 11 straight games, today will undoubtedly be the toughest challenge yet.

City got to enjoy an additional day off after their mid week fixture, and with the likelihood of Tuchel resting some legs we think today is the day that Chelsea’s streak comes to an end, likely in a very tight affair.

EPL Prediction: Manchester City (-110)
Best Prop: Under 2.5 Goals (-150)
