Preview on the Vegas Golden Knights’ Head Coach: Peter DeBoer

A 14 year veteran in the NHL ranks, this is DeBoers 4th head coaching job. After landing the Florida job in 2008, he experienced minimal success. Following a move to New Jersey in 2011 he immediately took the Devils to the finals. Coming off a Stanley Cup loss, his team failed to qualify for the playoffs twice and he was fired midway through the 2014-2015 season. Then came a decent stint in San Jose before coming to Vegas.

Preview on the Vegas Golden Knights’ Key Player: Robin Lehner

Lehner has been a force in net no matter where he plays. This season he will finally get his shot at being a number 1 goalie after the departure of Marc-Andre Fleury. A two time winner of the Jennings trophy, he will be looking to soon add a Vezina to his award list. After opening up on his struggles with mental health, he seems primed to make an impact and prove why he deserves to be a top goalie in the league.

Preview on the Vegas Golden Knights’ Next Best: Mark Stone

He is a former late round pick who has carved out a fantastic career for himself. Stone was drafted in 2010 by the Ottawa Senators and spent 6 full seasons there. Following the 2019 season he came to the Vegas Golden Knights. After landing in Vegas he has become an offensive threat when on the ice, totaling 193 Goals and 303 Assists in a little over 2 seasons.
