Top FA Cup Predictions for the Fourth Round
Thu 21st January 2021

We often read about the magic of the FA Cup, where lower league minnows can dare to do the impossible against the might and power of those in the Premier League. Will we see any big upsets?

Let’s take a look at the best match ups from a betting perspective, as well as our best free picks for each game!

Manchester United vs Liverpool

Sunday, 24th January, 9am (ET)

A massive match up for the FA Cup fourth round so early on in the competition, as this would be a more than worthy final.

These two sides met in the Premier League last week at Anfield and played out a tame 0-0 draw, though both teams had chances to seal victory.

We see the action heading to Old Trafford, which will add to Manchester United’s confidence. Liverpool lost to Burnley in the Premier League overnight, adding to their woes, and they have now collected just three points from their last five games, with injuries taking their toll.

Manchester United, on the other hand, are in some of the best form of Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s reign, and certainly look to have the upper hand against this threadbare Liverpool outfit.

FA Cup Prediction: Manchester United +160
Best Prop: Home Team to Win to Nil +370

Southampton vs Arsenal

Saturday, January 23rd, 7:15am (ET)

Another all Premier League contest, with 9th place Southampton hosting 10th place Arsenal at St. Mary’s here in the FA Cup.

Southampton got off to a hot start this season but have slowed down in recent times, with the busy Christmas period, COVID-19 quarantine, and a glut of injuries all taking their toll on the Saints.

They may regain talismanic striker Danny Ings for this contest, but they’re set to line up without eight first team players, including Oriol Romeu, Nathan Redmond, and Jannik Vestergaard, enough to make any club struggle.

On the other hand, Arsenal have found some form after a rocky start to the season, with Mikel Arteta’s men picking up four wins and a draw from their last five Premier League outings.

A new breed of youngsters, including starlet Emile Smith Rowe, have injected new life into Arsenal’s season, both in the Premier League, and Cup competitions.

Expect Arsenal to take care of business against the injury riddled Saints side.

FA Cup Prediction: Arsenal +130
Best Prop: Arsenal to Win to Nil +290

Everton vs Sheffield Wednesday

Sunday, January 24th, 3:00pm (ET)

The Toffees are in hot form, having scooped up 12 of a possible 15 points in their last five Premier League outings, including victories over heavyweights Arsenal and Leicester.

Everton have a good FA Cup record against sides in a lower division, winning 11 of their last 12 outings against such sides. Sheffield Wednesday are cellar dwellers in The Championship, and may have league survival on their mind rather than an unlikely victory against a red hot Everton.

Expect the Toffees to come out full of confidence at Goodison Park, they should collect the win and cover the -1 line without much trouble if they’re switched on.

FA Cup Prediction: Everton -300
Best Prop: Everton -1 -106
