Noah Syndergaard (1-3, 6.32 ERA) is slated for the start for Los Angeles. The right-hander allowed three runs over 5.1 innings in his last start, a 6-3 road win over the Cardinals on April 30.
He was credited with the win, giving up eight hits with no strikeouts and no walks. Left-hander Eric Lauer (3-3, 4.40 ERA) will toe the rubber for Milwaukee. It’s his first appearance of the season against the Dodgers.
Lauer made two appearances against the Dodgers in 2022, both as the starter, striking out nine and walking five over 12 innings (1-1, 1.50). In his last start on Wednesday, Lauer took the loss on the road against the Rockies. He threw 4.2 innings and gave up four runs (0 ER) on four hits, striking out six and walking four in the 7-1 defeat.
