Philadelphia Phillies @ Arizona Diamondbacks – 5:07PM ET

The Philadelphia Phillies have been absolutely incredible throughout the first couple rounds of this postseason. Despite having a relatively slow start to the regular season back in April, they picked it up at the right time, and they now look nearly unstoppable throughout the postseason. They have picked up a pair of crucial victories at home against Arizona throughout the first two games of this series and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here in the third game of this series at Chase Field on Thursday afternoon. With another win here in game, three Philadelphia would put the Diamondbacks on the brink of elimination, and they would be one win away from defending their National League pennant this season, as well as returning to their second consecutive World Series in the process. 

The Arizona Diamondbacks will be desperate to grab a victory in the third game of this series on Thursday afternoon at home after failing to steal a win on the road in Philadelphia throughout the first two games of the series earlier this week. After a successful sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the previous round Arizona looks completely lethargic through the first two games of this series against the Philadelphia Phillies. That is something that will have to change quickly as Philadelphia was able to get to their best two starting pitchers throughout the two games of this series and now Arizona will be in panic mode here in game three if they fail to pick up the win. Unfortunately, the Diamondbacks, I don’t see that happening as I look for the Phillies to grab the win in this game.

Houston Astros @ Texas Rangers – 8:03PM ET

The defending World Series champions bounced back in a big way during game number three of this series on Wednesday night. As they jumped out to an early lead and picked up a crucial victory over the Texas Rangers, and now they will be looking to replicate that performance to even up the series before heading back home for game number five later this week. Houston used a barrage of early runs to bury the Texas Rangers in game number three of the series, and if they can find their stride here in game number four, it would flip the momentum of this series all all the way back to Houston’s favor, heading into the final three games with two of them coming in Houston.

The Texas Rangers will be looking to bounce back in the fourth game of this series here on Thursday night at home as they look to take a commanding three games to one lead before heading back to Houston for game number five later this week. Texas will be looking to bounce back in a big way after they could not keep Houston off the board early on and game number three of the series and they were ineffective at the plate themselves which just spelled disaster for them and game three. Texas was hitless throughout the first half of the game and that is something they cannot allow to happen here in game four if they want to grab a victory and take their third one of the series in the process. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Rangers to bounce back and grab the win in this game.
