The No. 5 Kansas Jayhawks (22-5, 10-4 Big 12) will try to slow down one of the top shooting teams in the Big 12 Conference when they travel to face the No. 22 TCU Horned Frogs (18-9, 7-7 Big 12) on Monday. Kansas beat the Baylor Bears 87-71 at Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday, their fourth consecutive win.
Jalen Wilson led the way with 21 points and 13 rebounds. The Jayhawks are first in the Big 12 Conference. TCU won in dominant fashion on Saturday at Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena, beating the Oklahoma State Cowboys 100-75.
Emanuel Miller recorded 18 points to top the scoresheet. With 16 points and 11 assists, Damion Baugh also had an impressive game. The Horned Frogs are sixth in the Big 12 Conference.
The teams are meeting for the final time this season. After taking the only earlier season meeting against Kansas 83-60 at Allen Fieldhouse on January 21, TCU will be pursuing a season sweep.
Shahada Wells led the Horned Frogs with 17 points. Wilson had 30 points and seven rebounds in defeat. Wilson is averaging 20.4 points per game to lead the Jayhawks in scoring this season. Wilson also has grabbed 8.3 rebounds per game.
Meanwhile, Dajuan Harris Jr. is dishing 6.2 assists.Mike Miles Jr. and Miller have been the primary providers for the Horned Frogs on offense, averaging 12.6 and 11.4 points per game, respectively. Miller also has pulled down 5.4 rebounds per game.
Baugh has tallied 4.6 assists per game. Shooting 47.0% from the field on the season, the Horned Frogs are one of the most accurate field goal shooting teams in the Big 12 (2nd). In the last 10 games, Kansas is 6-4 with an average margin of +3.4 (77.1-73.7).
