The No. 12 Iowa State Cyclones (14-3, 5-1 Big 12) are on the road to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys (9-8, 1-4 Big 12) Saturday in what may turn out to be a low-scoring game.
Iowa State defeated the Texas Longhorns 78-67 at James H. Hilton Coliseum on Tuesday. Jaren Holmes led the way with 21 points. The Cyclones remain first in the Big 12 Conference.
Oklahoma State dropped their third in a row on Saturday at Ferrell Center, falling to the Baylor Bears 74-58. Caleb Asberry had 14 points and seven rebounds in the loss, leading the team. The Cowboys are eighth in the Big 12 Conference.
The teams are meeting for the only time this season. Iowa State and Oklahoma State split their matchups last season, winning one game apiece.
The Cowboys won the last meeting 53-36 at James H. Hilton Coliseum in March 2022. Avery Anderson III led the Cowboys with 12 points and five steals.
Izaiah Brockington had 13 points in the loss.Holmes and Gabe Kalscheur, averaging 13.2 and 12.7 points per game, respectively, have led the Cyclones in scoring this season.
