The No. 22 Charleston Cougars (16-1, 4-0 CAA), one of the nation’s top scoring teams, travel to face the UNCW Seahawks (14-3, 4-0 CAA) on Wednesday. Charleston topped the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens 75-64 at TD Arena on Saturday, their 15th consecutive win.
Ben Burnham was the key player with 13 points and eight rebounds. The Cougars remain first in the Colonial Athletic Conference. UNCW won their 13th in a row on Saturday at Corbett Sports Center, beating the North Carolina A&T Aggies 66-61.
Maleeck Harden-Hayes had 25 points and six rebounds, leading the team. The Seahawks slipped to second in the Colonial Athletic Conference. This marks the only meeting of the season between the teams.
They last met in the Colonial Conference Tourney semifinals when the Seahawks eliminated the Cougars with a 60-57 victory at Entertainment & Sports Arena in March 2022, their fifth straight head-to-head win.
