The No. 15 Indiana Hoosiers (20-10, 11-8 Big 10), one of the NCAA’s top shooting teams, host the Michigan Wolverines (17-13, 11-8 Big 10) on Sunday. Michigan lost to the Illinois Fighting Illini 91-87 in double overtime at State Farm Center on Thursday.
Hunter Dickinson was the key player in the losing effort with 31 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks. The Wolverines remain third in the Big Ten Conference.
Indiana lost in blowout fashion on Tuesday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, falling to the Iowa Hawkeyes 90-68. Trayce Jackson-Davis had 26 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists in the losing effort to lead the team. The Hoosiers dropped to sixth in the Big Ten Conference.
This marks the last meeting of the season between the teams. After taking the only earlier season game against Michigan 62-61 at Crisler Center on February 11, Indiana will be aiming for a season sweep. Jackson-Davis led the Hoosiers with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Dickinson had 16 points and three blocks in defeat.
Dickinson is averaging 18.0 points per game to lead the Wolverines in scoring this season. Dickinson also has grabbed 8.9 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Dug McDaniel is dishing 3.5 assists.
Jackson-Davis has powered the Hoosiers on offense, averaging 18.9 points per game. Jackson-Davis has also recorded 10.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
