Wake Forest @ #9 Duke  – 7pm ET

Wake Forest is an impressive 20-5 this season but they are still unranked. Meanwhile, Duke is ranked ninth in the nation, and atop the Atlantic Coast Conference, tied with Notre Dame. Both teams will be looking for a huge conference and resume worthy win in this game.

Marko Nadin

As coach Mike Krzyzewski has announced that he is retiring at the end of this season, the Blue Devils have an extra motive to go deep this season. The Duke Blue Devils are currently on top of the ACC with a 21-4 record including 13-2 at home. So far, the Blue Devils lost at home only to Miami and Virginia with a total margin of 3 points. Duke is coming off back-to-back reload wins against Clemson and Boston College but Wake Forest is much more serious than those two. Duke scores more points on average than Wake Forest but the Demon Deacons have a better field goal percentage.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are 5th in the ACC with a 20-6 record and have 5-3 on the road. After winning three straight games, Wake Forest lost 76-72 against Miami in the last round despite leading by 7 at halftime. Wake Forest had better shooting percentages than Miami but committed 17 turnovers, 10 more than the Hurricanes, which cost them the game. Duke has won 9 of the last 10 games against Wake Forest and they will win this one as well. When it comes to the spread, Duke has covered it only once in the last 5 Tuesday games while the Demon Deacons have done it 4 times in their last five Tuesday games.

Marko’s College Basketball Pick: Duke (-580)

Tony Battalio

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons have put together an incredible season thus far. However, they are not getting the respect that they deserve when it comes to the national rankings. Wake Forest comes into this game with a record of 20-6 on the season. Although they still do lack that one big win to put them over the edge in many people’s opinions. Wake is currently in the top half of the ACC with a record of 10-5 inside the conference as well. They had a three game winning streak broken in their last game after losing to Miami by a score of 76-72 at home. Now they will be looking to bounce back with a big top 25 upset win over Duke in this game on the road in Cameron.

The Duke Blue Devils as usual are the class of the Atlantic Coast Conference once again. As they come into this game in first place of the league. However, there are plenty of teams on their tail at the moment as the race for the title and a top four finish is tighter than ever as we proceed down the stretch. Duke comes into this game ranked ninth in the nation and with a record of 21-4 on the season. Duke is currently on a two game win streak and has won four of their last five games. As for the result of this game I have the Duke Blue Devils picking up another victory at home.

Tony’s College Basketball Pick: Duke (-580)

Noah Dunlap

The question for this game has to be “at what point does the Wake Forest situation equal disrespect?” They’re 20-5 on the year and are still unranked. I understand that they don’t have a key win, which is certainly problematic, but if you can make it to mid-February with only five losses, I’m skeptical that you shouldn’t be ranked.

The good news for the Demon Deacons is that if they can get a win in this one, then they’ll almost certainly be ranked in the next polls, as they would then have a victory over the ACC-leading Duke Blue Devils. Duke currently sits at 21-4 and is ranked at number 9, as they have a few big time wins that have helped their tournament resume greatly. While this would be a huge win for Wake, I just don’t think they have enough to hang around for 40 minutes at Cameron Indoor. Give me Duke in a tighter matchup than some may expect.

Noah’s College Basketball Pick: Duke (-580)

#10 Villanova @ #8 Providence – 8pm ET

This top ten Big East matchup is going to be the best game of the Tuesday slate by far. As the tenth ranked Villanova Wildcats take on the eighth ranked Providence Friars in this huge matchup. Both these teams are very capable of making a deep NCAA Tournament run.

Marko Nadin

The top two teams of the ACC will face each other as the Providence Friars are hosting the Villanova Wildcats in Dunkin Donuts Center. Providence is on top of the conference standings with a 21-2 record including a perfect 14-0 at home. The only two teams that managed to defeat the Friars this season are Virginia and Marquette. Providence has won the last 8 games and if they defeat Villanova will reach their longest winning streak this season. Providence has covered the spread in 10 of the last 11 games against teams with a winning road record.

The Villanova Wildcats have a 19-6 record for the season including 6-4 on the road. This record doesn’t sound very promising but the Wildcats are always a dangerous team when the NCAA tournament comes and that will be the case this season as well. The 2018 NCAA champions have won the last three games. Villanova is the best free throw shooting team in the country with 82.9% and an average of 73.1 points per game. The Wildcats have won 7 of the last 10 games against Providence.

Marko’s College Basketball Pick: Providence (+152)

Tony Battalio

The Villanova Wildcats are coming into this game with a record of 19-6 on the season. As always the Wildcats are a national title threat as they are usually known to get hot at the correct time under head coach Jay Wright. They will be looking for their third national championship in the last seven years as they have slowly transformed themselves into a dynasty of sorts. The tenth ranked Wildcats are currently sitting at 12-3 inside the Big East conference, which is good enough for them to be in second place. Villanova is a half a game behind their opponents in this one for first place and could find themselves tied with a huge road victory.

The Providence Friars come into this game ranked eighth in the country. They are currently in first place in the Big East with a record of 11-1. They have an overall record of 21-2 up until this point of the season and have all the weapons to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. Providence could virtually secure themselves a Big East regular season title with a win in this one as they would put some distance between them and Villanova with only a handful of games left in the regular season. They have won their last games in a row and are undefeated at home with a record of 14-0 on the season. As for the result of this game I have the Providence Friars picking up another victory at home and remaining undefeated there as well.

Tony’s College Basketball Pick: Providence (+152)

Noah Dunlap

I think this is going to end up being the best game of a loaded Tuesday night slate in college hoops. The Providence Friars have surprised a ton of people this season, as they currently lead the Big East with a 21-2 record, including 11-1 in conference play. They already have a few really good wins on the year, including Wisconsin and UConn, and this gives them the chance to extend their conference lead, as it would give them a win over the second best team in the Big East, at least standings wise.

Villanova comes into this one pretty squarely where it seems like most people had them coming into the season. They’re 19-6 on the season, but I think they’re better than their record, as I think a bit of a rough start weakened that number just a bit. As they’ve played a lot better as of late, with one of the best coaches in basketball in Jay Wright, they’re the kind of team that you can’t afford to overlook down the stretch. Despite how well the Friars have played this year, I’m gonna take ‘Nova in this one, as I just think they’re a better team in terms of a complete roster.

Noah’s College Basketball Pick: Villanova (-184)

#4 Kentucky @ #16 Tennessee – 9pm ET

This huge SEC rivalry means a lot more in this one. As both of these teams are jockeying for position inside of the conference. They also both come in ranked inside of the top 25 in the country as well. Both will be looking for a huge resume worthy victory in this game.

Marko Nadin

The Tennessee Volunteers are currently third in the SEC with an 18-6 record including a perfect 13-0 at home. Thompson-Boling Arena has been a place where no visitor has left as a winner but the Volunteers will have a tough time to keep that against Kentucky. Tennessee has won the last 5 games after losing 52-51 to Texas. The Volunteers have covered the spread in 12 of the last 16 games coming off an against the spread loss. Tennessee has played under the total points margin in 9 of the last 12 Tuesday games. Forward Olivier Nkamhoua who is averaging 8.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game will not play against Kentucky.

The Kentucky Wildcats are currently second in the SEC with a 21-4 record and 5-3 on the road. They have won 9 of the last 10 games covering the spread in half of those games. The Wildcats are coming off a 78-57 win over the Florida Gators in a game where Congolese forward Oscar Tshiebwe recorded 27 points and 19 rebounds. Kentucky has covered the spread only once in the last 12 Tuesday games and only once in the last 5 games following an at the spread win.  Both teams have split the last 10 games. Tyty Washington Jr., Jacob Toppin, and CJ Fredrick

Will not suit up for the Wildcats.

Marko’s College Basketball Pick: Kentucky (+106)

Tony Battalio

The Kentucky Wildcats are playing perhaps the best basketball in the country at the moment. They come into this game ranked fourth in the country and have one of the best wins of the year. As they hold a blowout victory over the Kansas Jayhawks on the road. They will have a chance to add another top 25 victory on the road to their resume with a win in this one over their rival, the Tennessee Volunteers. The Wildcats come into this game with a record of 21-4 on the season and look to be heading towards a potential one seed in the NCAA Tournament if their recent level of play continues. They have won their last six games in a row.

The Tennessee Volunteers will be looking to play spoiler in this one. As they come into this game ranked inside of the top 25 as well. Tennessee is currently 16th in the nation and has a record of 18-6 on the season. The Volunteers have won their last four games in a row and will be looking to make it five with a massive top 25 upset at home in this one on Tuesday night. Tennessee is currently in third place in the SEC and would tie the Wildcats for second and move one game behind the leaders, the Auburn Tigers with a victory in this game. They are currently undefeated with a record of 13-0 at home. However, I look for that to come to an end in this game as I have the Kentucky Wildcats picking up the victory in this one.

Tony’s College Basketball Pick: Kentucky (+106)

Noah Dunlap

How good are either of these teams? That’s the biggest question that I have for this matchup. Tennessee has quietly played their way into third in the SEC with an 18-6 record, including a ridiculous 13-0 at home. To me, that’s the one concerning side of this matchup if I’m a Kentucky Wildcats fan. I think UK has a better roster, but the Vols at home this year has been simply unstoppable.

In the end, though, I’m still going to give a slight edge to Kentucky for two reasons. Number one is that virtually no one manages to stay unbeaten at home (or on the road) for an entire season, so I think Tennessee is due to slip up at some point. The other side is that I think UK big man Oscar Tshiebwe is one of the most unstoppable players in the country, and I don’t think UT has anyone that can slow him down. Give me the Wildcats in a tight one, in front of an electric atmosphere at Thompson-Boling.

Noah’s College Basketball Pick: Kentucky (+106)

#15 Wisconsin @ Indiana – 9pm ET

Two of the best historical programs in the Big Ten conference are set to face off inside of one of the most iconic venues in college basketball in this one. As the 15th ranked Wisconsin Badgers travel to Bloomington to take on the Indiana Hoosiers in this critical Big Ten conference matchup.

Marko Nadin

The Indiana Hoosiers are 9th in the Big Ten with a 16-8 record including 13-2 at home. Only Illinois and Michigan have won this season at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers are coming off three straight losses and previously they haven’t dropped two straight in the season. Indiana is a really solid defensive team allowing only 37.6% shooting from the field and just over 30% from the free throw line. Indiana has covered the spread in 10 of the last 12 games but has done that only once in their last 7 Tuesday games. Rob Phinisee is injured and will not play against Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Badgers are third in the Big Ten Conference with a 19-5 record including 6-3 on the road. The Badgers are coming off a surprising 73-65 loss to Rutgers. Sophomore Johnny Davis is playing a great season averaging 20.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. The Badgers have covered the spread only once in the last 7 games. Wisconsin has won 9 of the last 10 games against Indiana. In 5 of the last 7 games between these two teams, the home team has covered the spread.

Marko’s College Basketball Pick: Wisconsin (+146)

Tony Battalio

The Wisconsin Badgers come into this game ranked inside of the top 15 of the nation. They are 19-5 on the season and much like multiple other teams in the Big Ten conference, they look to have all the tools to make a serious run in the NCAA Tournament in just a few short weeks. Despite their success this season they have been prone to being upset which showed in their last game when they were upset by the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at home. The loss to Rutgers is the second in the last four games for the Badgers as they will be looking to start a new winning streak with a big road victory in this game over the Indiana Hoosiers.

fanduel sign up bonus

The previously mentioned Indiana Hoosiers are coming into this game unranked and with a record of 16-8 on the season. The Hoosier’s biggest win of the year up until this point is a three point home win over their rivals the Purdue Boilermakers. However, their recent run of play may have been enough to take them back out of the running for an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament. So they will need to start stringing some more victories together to get themselves back into bubble contention. They are currently on a three game losing streak after losing to Illinois, Michigan State, and Northwestern. As for the result of this game I have them losing a fourth straight game as I have the Wisconsin Badgers picking up the victory in this one.

Tony’s College Basketball Pick: Wisconsin (+146)

Noah Dunlap

The common pick in this one for most people is to take Wisconsin in a close one. I think those people have the winner correct, but I don’t think this one ends up being that close. This is a Wisconsin team that has shown themselves to be one of the best teams in the country at times, while also totally disappearing at others. They’re one of the best teams in the Big Ten, even with some of the sketchy losses, including a loss to Rutgers in their last outing, and I like the Badgers to use that momentum as a springboard to take care of Indiana and make a statement along the way in Bloomington.

Indiana is a team that is decent, but certainly not great. They play really good defense, but their offense is extremely shaky, and even at home, I don’t think they have enough ways to score against a Badger team that plays good defense as well. They’ve lost three straight, including a disappointing loss to Northwestern, and I think this rough stretch has a real chance to continue here, as I think Wisconsin comes into Bloomington and leaves with an easy victory.

Noah’s College Basketball Pick: Wisconsin (+146)

#22 Wyoming @ New Mexico – 9pm ET

The 22nd ranked Wyoming Cowboys come into this game an impressive 21-3 on the season. They will be taking on a New Mexico team that has had a rough season thus far as they limp into one at 10-14. This is likely to be the most lopsided game of the evening.

Marko Nadin

The New Mexico Lobos are currently 9th in the Mountain West with a 10-14 record. The Lobos have won 3 of the last 4 games after losing 7 straight. The main reason for New Mexico’s losing score this season is their weak defense as they allow 76.2 points on 44.9% from the field which ranks them among the 30 worst teams in the country. The Lobos have covered the spread 5 times in the last 7 games. In 8 of the last 10 games, New Mexico has played under the total point margin. Emmanuel Kuac and Valdir Manuel will not play against Wyoming.

The Wyoming Cowboys are on top of the Mountain West with a 21-3 record. Arizona, Stanford, and Boise State are the only teams that have defeated the Cowboys this season. Wyoming has covered the spread in 28 of the last 37 games. They have played under the total point margin in the last 6 road games. Wyoming has won the last three games against New Mexico, most recently 93-91 in January this year. Kenny Foster will not play against New Mexico.

Marko’s College Basketball Pick: Wyoming (-230)

Tony Battalio

The Wyoming Cowboys are having an amazing year. They are doing so quietly, however, as they are only ranked 22nd in the country. They come into this game with a record of 21-3 on the season and could end up being a surprise sweet 16, or elite eight team when tournament time comes around. Wyoming has won their last six games and a row, but they have had a few scares as of late. They hold a half game lead in the Mountain West over the Broncos of Boise State and a one game lead over Colorado State as the regular season continues to wind down. With only seven games left in the regular season, every win is equally as important.

New Mexico is having a rough year as they come into this game with a losing record and four games under the .500 mark at the moment. Unless they find a way to win the Mountain West conference tournament the Lobos won’t be going to the NCAA Tournament this season. They are currently on a two game winning streak at the moment but unless they play a perfect game of basketball in this one that winning streak won’t last long. As for the result of this game I have the Wyoming Cowboys picking up the victory in this one with ease on the road.

Tony’s College Basketball Pick: Wyoming (-230)

Noah Dunlap

This game has the real possibility of getting ugly. New Mexico comes into this one with virtually nothing to play for, as sitting at 10-14, the only way they get a postseason berth is by winning their conference tournament, which is an extreme long shot. The good news is that they’re playing a bit better after dropping seven straight a few weeks ago.

The problem is that they now have their hands full, as they take on what is arguably the best team in the Mountain West. The Wyoming Cowboys are one of the biggest surprises of the season so far, as they find themselves ranked at 22nd, with a 21-3 record. That certainly isn’t to pretend like they’re a title contender, because I think that’s a massive stretch, but I don’t think it’s too outside the realm of possibility to view them as a team that has the potential to play the role of Cinderella in this year’s tournament. Give me the Cowboys in this one, in a big way.

Noah’s College Basketball Pick: Wyoming (-230)
