They have shown little signs of any type of championship hangover, and they come into this game ranked fifth in the country, and they will look to further establish themselves as a top five team in the country with another quality performance. They were arguably underrated coming into the year, even after winning the national championship last year, and they have proved the doubters wrong throughout the early part of the season. It’ll be interesting to see if it translates to the Big East, as they will be in one of the toughest conferences in the country this year, and they will be on high alert each and every night regardless of who the opponent is, as they have such a massive target on their back after last season. They come into this game on a three game winning streak and they will look for a fourth consecutive win here on Wednesday night. 

Seton Hall is putting together a decent start to the regular season, but they lack a résumé building victory, and they have an opportunity to get one here on Wednesday night at home against the defending national champions. They will look to put together a quality performance throughout this game on Wednesday night at home as they look to upset the Connecticut Huskies and pick up a victory over the fifth ranked team in the nation. They come into this game with seven victories through their first eleven games of the regular season and they will look for a victory in their toughest test of the year so far, as they look to get conference play started off on a solid note. They are currently on a two game-winning streak, and they will look to grab a third consecutive victory here in this game on Wednesday night. However, I don’t see that happening as I look for Connecticut to come into their building and pick up the win on the road.

#10 Baylor @ #21 Duke – 7pm ET

It has been a fantastic start to the regular season for the Baylor Bears, and they will look to keep the momentum rolling throughout this game on Wednesday night against Duke. They will look to add a huge résumé boosting victory in this game on Wednesday night as they look for another top 25 victory early on in the regular season. Baylor will also look to establish themselves as the top 10 team in the country with another quality performance here, in this one against one of the Blue Bloods of the sport. Baylor comes into this game with nine victories through their first 10 games of the regular season, and they will look to cross the double digit win mark with another quality performance here on Wednesday night against Duke. They have been one of the most consistent teams in the country throughout the early part of the season and they will look to keep the momentum rolling throughout this game as well. 

Duke has struggled a little bit throughout the early part of the regular season and they will look to get things back on track with a quality performance here in this one on Wednesday night against Baylor. They come into this game ranked 21st in the nation, and that is very low for a program with the quality and consistency of Duke. They look to get things turned around throughout this game against Baylor on Wednesday night as Duke looks for a massive résumé building victory early on in the regular season. They will look too further, move it back up the top 25 and get themselves back into the top 15 heading into the end of the year and a victory in this game would likely accomplish that goal for them. They will also look to further establish themselves as a legitimate contender for the national title as they look to pick up a massive nonconference victory here on Wednesday. However, I don’t see that happening as I look for Baylor to grab the win over the Duke Blue Devils here in this one.

#11 North Carolina @ #7 Oklahoma – 9pm ET

North Carolina is off to a respectable start to the regular season and they will look to pick up a top 10 victory here on Wednesday night against the Oklahoma Sooners. They come into this game ranked just outside the top 10 in the country and a victory here in this one would propel them inside of the top 10 when the new rankings come out next week. They have quietly been putting together a quality season as they look to further establish themselves as a potential national title contender with another quality performance here in this game on Wednesday night against Oklahoma. They come into this game with seven victories through their first 10 games of the regular season and they will look for their eighth one of the year here on Wednesday night against this solid Oklahoma team. It would provide them with a huge momentum boost as they gear up to head into conference play throughout the rest of the season. It would also be a nice way to bounce back after losing back-to-back games to Kentucky and Connecticut. 

Oklahoma is off to a fantastic start to the regular season and they will look to keep the momentum rolling here on Wednesday night when they face off with one of the bluebloods of college basketball. They look to pick up a solid victory against North Carolina here in this one and further establish themselves as a top 10 team in the country as they get ready to head into conference play. They come into this game undefeated through their first 10 games of the regular season and they look to remain undefeated with an 11th consecutive victory here on Wednesday night against the Tar Heels. They’ve already built a decent résumé for themselves throughout the early part of the regular season and they would put a huge cherry on top with a solid performance here in this game on Wednesday night as well. That is exactly what I expect from Oklahoma here on Wednesday night against North Carolina as I look for the Sooners to pick up the victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels. 

Villanova @ #12 Creighton – 9pm ET

Villanova is off to a respectable start this season and they will look to grab a huge conference victory here on Wednesday night on the road against the Creighton Blue Jays. It’ll be important for Villanova to pick up an early season conference victory over one of the top teams in the conference. As the Big East is absolutely loaded this season with quality teams that will certainly make some noise in the NCAA tournament. After starting the season ranked inside the top 25 in the country, some ugly losses to their fellow Philadelphia colleges has put them outside the top 25 and a victory in this game would put them back into consideration. They come into this game with seven victories through their first 11 games of the regular season and they will look for their eighth one of the year here on Wednesday night against Creighton. Villanova does come into this game with a little bit of momentum after picking up a victory over UCLA in their previous contest.

Creighton comes into this game ranked inside the top 15 in the country, and they will look to further establish themselves as a contender for the national title with another quality performance here on Wednesday Wednesday night at home. They have put together a solid season throughout the early part of the year and they will look to maintain that momentum throughout this conference opener here on Wednesday night as they look to get off on the right foot in the Big East. They are arguably one of the best point guards in the country and Trey Alexander will be looking to put up quality numbers throughout this game as he looks to lead them to a win over Villanova here and this one at home. They come into this game with nine wins through their first 11 games of the season and they are coming into this game with plenty of momentum as well. I expect them to pick up yet another victory here on Wednesday night and cover the spread against Villanova at home.

Alabama @ #4 Arizona – 11pm ET

Alabama is off to a quality start to the regular season and they will look for a massive résumé building win here on Wednesday night against the Arizona Wildcats. This would be a huge win for Alabama, and give them plenty of momentum as they get ready to head into conference play in one of the toughest conferences in the country this season. They are usually known as a football powerhouse, but they have been building up a quality basketball program over the last couple of seasons, and they will look to keep the momentum rolling throughout this game on Wednesday. As they look to further establish themselves as a legitimate national title contender this season. They come to this game with six victories through their first 10 games of the regular season and they will look for their seventh one of the year here on Wednesday night against Arizona. 

Arizona has put together a solid start to the regular season and despite the fact that they are not the number one team in the country anymore, you can still argue that they are the best team in the country this year. They have been nearly unstoppable throughout the majority of the regular season, despite their loss in their previous game to the Purdue Boilermakers. They will look to get right back into the win column with a solid performance here on Wednesday night against Alabama. As they look to get things going in the right direction once again before heading into conference play at the end of the month. They have been nearly unstoppable on the offensive end of the court as they are one of the few teams in the country to average over 80 points per game throughout the early part of the season. I expect them to use that to their advantage and pick up the victory here in this one on Wednesday night against the Crimson Tide.
