Read on below to find out UFC Best Bets for this weekend’s UFC 293!

Israel Adesanya © vs Sean Strickland – Middleweight Title

Israel Adesanya will be looking to defend his UFC middleweight championship in this fight against Sean Strickland on Saturday evening. He is one of the greatest mix, martial arts fighters of all time, and he has a chance to extend his championship reign with another quality victory here in this fight against a formidable contender in Sean Strickland. He has picked up 24 victories in 26 career professional, mixed martial arts, fights, and if he continues at the pace he is on, he will certainly go down as one of the all time greats in the history of the sport. Adesanya has picked up a victory in four out of his last five fights, with his last fight being a victory in his rematch against Alex Pereira for the middleweight title.

Sean Strickland has a chance to give Israel Adesanya the third loss of his mixed martial arts career here on Saturday night. Strickland has been one of the most consistent fighters over the last several years in the UFC and he will be looking for his crowning moment with a Championship victory here on Saturday night at UFC 293. Strickland has picked up 27 victories in 32 career MMA fights over the course of a decade. He is certainly a knockout artist, as 11 of his victories have come via knockout over the span of his career. Unfortunately for Sean Strickland, I don’t see him picking up the victory in this fight however, as I look for Israel Adesanya to retain his middleweight championship by knockout.

SportsTips’ UFC Pick:

Adesanya (-650) By KO (-110)

Tai Tuivasa vs Alexander Volkov – Heavyweight

Tai Tuivasa has an opportunity to pick up a massive victory and launch himself up the rankings to set up a potential heavyweight title fight when he takes on Alexander Volkov here on Saturday night. It could arguably be one of the biggest victories of his career if he can get the job done against a legend like Alexander Volkov here on Saturday night in this heavyweight fight. In 19 career professional fights, he has picked up 14 victories, and 13 of those victories have come by knockout as he is certainly one of the most feared knockout artists in the heavyweight division. He will be looking to pick up yet another victory here on Saturday night against Volkov in this co-main event.

Alexander Volkov at one point in time was one of the best heavyweight MMA fighters on the planet, and he will be looking to reestablish himself as such. He will be looking for a massive victory over Ty Tuisova here on Saturday night at UFC 293 as it looks to get himself back into the top five of the rankings and potentially get himself another shot at the UFC heavyweight championship. In 46 career professional fights he has picked up 36 victories throughout a career that has spanned over a decade. He has picked up a victory in three out of his last four fights. But unfortunately, I don’t see him picking up the victory here in this one, as I have Tai Tuivasa grabbing the win by knockout.

SportsTips’ UFC Pick:

Tuivasa (+200) By KO (+275)

Justin Tafa vs Austen Lane – Heavyweight

Justin Tafa will be looking to pick up a huge victory in this heavyweight fight against Austen Lane on Saturday night at UFC 293. The big New Zealander has six victories in his mixed martial arts career through the first ten fights of his career. All six of those victories have come by knockout, and he will be looking to pick up the seventh victory of his career here on Saturday night against a fellow up and coming heavyweight. This is a rematch from their previous fight after their contest in June was called off after an accidental eye poke and was ruled a no contest. When you exclude that flight from the record, he is currently on a two fight winning streak, and he will be looking to make it three in a row with a win here on Saturday.

Austen Lane is a former National Football League defensive lineman, who has made the jump to mixed martial arts. It has been a pretty successful jump for him as he has picked up 12 victories in 15 career professional fights thus far. He will be looking to finish this saga with Justin Tafa after their first flight was called off due to an accidental eye poke back in June. Prior to that fight being called off midway through the belt he had won his last six fights and eight out of his last nine fights as well. He has plenty of momentum coming into this fight, and I expect it to lead to him picking up a victory by decision here on Saturday night.

SportsTips’ UFC Pick:

Lane (+165) By DEC (+1200)
