UFC Best Bets For UFC 292
Sat 19th August 2023

Read on below to find out UFC Best Bets for this weekend’s UFC 292!

Aljamain Sterling © vs Sean O’Malley – Bantamweight Title

This is going to be one of the best fights of 2023 and it could perhaps end up being one of the best fights of all time by the time it’s over and done with. As Aljamain Sterling meets Sean O’Malley for the Bantamweight championship here at UFC 292 on Saturday night. These are two of the top fighters within the bantamweight division and this is a fight that has been anticipated for a very long time. These two fighters have combined for 39 victories in 44 career professional fights which just shows how hard it is to get the better of both Sterling and O’Malley.

That makes it that much harder to pick a winner in this one, as this fight can arguably go either way between two guys that can both end up being one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, by the time that they hang up their gloves. Sterling comes into this fight with a record of 23-3 in 26 career professional fights and O’Malley comes into this fight with a record of 16-1 with one no contest in eighteen career professional fights. I expect this to be a solid fight that goes the distance between these two fantastic fighters. In the end I do think Sterling picks up the victory and retains his title by split decision.

SportsTips’ UFC Pick:

Sterling (-250) By DEC (+225)

Zhang Weili © vs Amanda Lemos – Strawweight Title

Zhang Weili will be looking to defend her Women’s Strawweight Championship in this fight on Saturday evening. Weili comes into this fight with a record of 23-3 in 26 career professional fights and she is capable of beating someone in several different ways. As eleven of her victories have come by knockout and eight of them have come by submission, she also has eleven first round finishes throughout her professional career. She can finish fights quickly and that is something her  opponents always have to worry about when they are stepping into the octagon with her.

Amanda Lemos will be looking to win her first UFC title in this fight on Saturday night. She comes into this fight as a huge underdog and many people have already counted her out before the fight has even begun. Lemos comes into this fight for the Women’s Strawweight Championship with a career record of 13-2-1 in sixteen career professional fights. She is a knockout artist as eight of her 13 career victories have come via knockout. She is currently on a two fight winning streak, and she has picked up seven victories in her last eight fights. Unfortunately, I don’t see her winning this fight as I look for Zhang Weili to win by knockout.

SportsTips’ UFC Pick:

Weili (-350) By KO (-150)

Neil Magny vs Ian Garry – Welterweight

Neil Magny comes into this fight looking to pick up a solid victory over Ian Garry here on Saturday night. In 38 career professional fights he has picked up 28 victories and he will be looking to pick up his 29th victory in this welterweight fight on Saturday night. He is able to beat you in three different ways, as seven of his victories, and come by knockout, while four have come by submission and 17 of them have come by decision. He has been caught in submissions a lot throughout his career as six of his defeats have come by submission, and he will be looking to avoid that here in this fight.

Ian Garry will be looking to pick up a solid victory in this fight against Neil Magny on Saturday evening. The young 25-year-old comes into this fight undefeated in 12 career professional fights, and he is arguably fighting a guy who is considered the gatekeeper of the welterweight division. He will be looking to remain undefeated and pick up his 13th consecutive victory here on Saturday night. This will be the sixth fight of his career that takes place inside of a UFC octagon, and he is coming in on a streak of two consecutive knockouts. I expect him to secure a third consecutive knockout in this fight on Saturday night, as he looks to continue to climb the rankings in the welterweight division.

SportsTips’ UFC Pick:

Garry (-500) By KO (-140)
