Top Premier League Predictions for Game Week 33

Top Premier League Predictions for Game Week 33
Fri 23rd April 2021

We are spoiled for choice this week in the Premier League! With a London Derby to decide who claims 4th place, and a battle between a streaking Leeds and an unstoppable Manchester United away from home.

Arsenal vs Everton

Friday, April 23rd, 3.30 PM (EDT)

The Toffees take to the Emirates this week for a clash between the Premier Leagues’ 8th and 9th seed. The two have not met since the reverse fixture earlier in the season when an own goal from Arsenal’s Rob Holding was the decisive score in a 2-1 win to Everton.

Historically, the Toffees have not fared well when playing away to the Gunners, you have to go all the way back to 1996 to find the last time they beat them on home soil.

However, currently sitting in 9th place, Arsenal are on track for their worst domestic finish since the 1994/95 campaign.

The Gunners have not performed too poorly recently though, through to the Semi Finals of the Europa League, and unbeaten over their last 7 games in the Premier League, but they only just scraped a point in their most recent fixture against Fulham.

The same cannot be said for the Toffees, who are winless over their last 5 games domestically, and have scored just 4 goals across this period.

Neither side are enjoying a successful season, however, Everton have not achieved a double over the Gunners in nearly 40 years. Arsenal have shown improvement in recent games and will be looking to bounce back from their last minute draw to Fulham.

EPL Prediction: Arsenal (-110)
Best Prop: Under 2.5 Goals / Yes (-124)

West Ham vs Chelsea

Saturday, April 24th, 12.30 PM (EDT)

This London derby is shaping up to be a belter, with West Ham and Chelsea sitting in 5th and 4th respectively with 55 points to their name, and both Spurs and Liverpool breathing down their necks.

The Hammers played in the game of the round last week, narrowly losing to Newcastle due to a reckless challenge from Craig Dawson which saw them a man down in the first half.

The Blues didn’t enjoy much success in the league either, a nil all draw at home to Brighton in which they looked like the lesser team was hardly the result  they expected after beating Man City in the FA Cup.

West Ham host this one and they have been electric at home in recent weeks, winning 4 and drawing 1 from their last 5 games played, with 19 goals across these games. The bookies don’t give the Hammers much of a chance but with the form they are in we expect a tight challenge.

EPL Prediction: Draw (+270)
Best Prop: Over 2.5 Goals / Yes (+100)

Leeds United vs Man United

Sunday, April 25th, 9.00 AM (EDT)

With 8 goals scored in the reverse fixture we are expecting another cracker as Manchester United take to Elland Road to face Leeds.

Man United continued their epic run of form last weekend with their 3-1 victory over Brighton, the win marks their 5th straight win domestically, and after their 3-1 victory over Spurs the week before they now boast an incredible 23 away game unbeaten streak.

Leeds are no slouches at home though, they have now gone 5 games unbeaten at Elland Road following their 1-1 draw with the reigning champions, Liverpool, a game in which they dominated possession of the ball.

However, after winning, or drawing their last 23 away games in the league, and a 6-2 win in the reverse fixture, it is hard not to like Man U for the 3 points in this one.

EPL Prediction: Manchester United (-125)
Best Prop: Anytime Goalscorer / Mason Greenwood (+175)
