Free FIFA World Cup Picks Today for Tuesday, November 29th, 2022

Millions around the world will be glued to their TV screens when the action heats up at the World Cup. Each team now only has one more game to play in the Group Stage. So, who can dominate in their final game, to ensure they book a spot in the Round of 16? The action so far has been gripping, and we are certain to be in store for some more excitement today!

There is so much action to be had over the Group Stage, as 32 teams fight for the chance to make it to the Round of 16. There are eight groups in total with four teams in each group, and only the top two will make it through to the next round. Which teams will put their best foot forward and make it through to the next round?

Ecuador vs Senegal – 10AM ET

The winner of this game will progress through to the Round of 16. Ecuador currently sits in equal first place with four points, and Senegal sits in third place with three points. Ecuador won their first game against Qatar, and then drew with the Netherlands. Senegal lost to the Netherlands, but then beat Qatar.

Ecuador and Senegal both come into this game needing a win to advance to the Round of 16 in the 2022 World Cup. They have both been solid throughout their first two Group Stage games and now it all comes down to this. They have both already claimed wins over Qatar and sent them on their way to elimination early. Ecuador is even on points with the group leaders the Netherlands, and could potentially win the group as well. While Senegal has to win to advance into the next round. 

Senegal is in must win mode for their third and final World Cup Group Stage game. If they fail to get anything else but a win in this final game, they will be going home for good and their solid run will come to an end. They have been solid throughout these first two games despite losing to the Netherlands to open up the campaign. They bounced back nicely in their game against Qatar when they put three goals in the net. I have this match ending in a draw and sending Ecuador through with five points.

The national team of Ecuador is having a great World Cup. The South American side was outstanding in the opening match versus Qatar. Ecuador had complete control of the game and deserved the win. To the surprise of many, they were better in the second match versus the Netherlands as well. They were unlucky in several situations and deserved more than a 1-1 draw. However, everything great they have done so far in this tournament won’t matter if they lose this match. The Netherlands will likely win against Qatar, and a loss against Senegal would send Ecuador out of the World Cup. 

Senegal is the much more experienced side in this matchup. They have just won the AFCON this year, and because of that, many people consider Senegal to be the best team in Africa at the moment. Senegal has proved on many occasions to be a hard team to break down. They are a strong, athletic and powerful side who will fight until the end. The matchup against Ecuador will be a match with a lot of emotions. Only a win takes Senegal to the Round of 16 of the World Cup. I expect this to be a match with a lot of fouls and hard tackles flying around. I don’t expect a lot of scoring opportunities, so I am taking the under 2.5 goals bet.

Things are pretty much clear in this game. Ecuador has one point advantage over Senegal and will go through to the next round even with a draw, while Senegal has to win in order to advance. Of course, the result of the game between the Netherlands and Qatar will make a difference, but we can assume that the Oranje will handle things easily, so the game between Ecuador and Senegal can already be considered as an elimination one. Both teams were very good in the opening two games of the Group Stage and this is going to be a special one. 

Ecuador managed to win a point in the second round against the Netherlands and is in a much better situation than Senegal. The African champions showed that they are a good team even without their best player Sadio Mane. The pressure will be on them since the win is the only option and expect them to be much more offensively oriented than usual. Three different players scored against Qatar in the previous round proving that they can be dangerous. It will definitely be a close one, and Senegal will be able to make the extra effort and win this one to advance to the knockout stage.

Netherlands vs Qatar – 10AM ET

The Netherlands will be looking for a strong finish in their last game of the Group Stage, when they face off against Qatar. The Netherlands are currently sitting in equal first place with four points after beating Senegal and drawing with Ecuador. Qatar will not make the Round of 16 after losing both their matches so far.

Netherlands has a chance to get an easy win against Qatar in their final Group Stage to top the group and play the second place team in Group B in the Round of 16. It is yet to be determined if it’s going to be England, Wales, Iran, or the United States. The Netherlands themselves cannot afford to lose this game or they could end up not winning the group either and it would go to Ecuador or Senegal, if they were to lose to Qatar here on Tuesday morning. 

The host nation Qatar is already officially eliminated from advancing to the Round of 16 with two very poor performances in the first two Group Stage games. They are the first host country to not win their opening game and they have overall been a bit of a disappointment throughout this tournament. I don’t expect it to get any better for them in this game, as I don’t think they will get a goal.

The Netherlands players got slaughtered by the media for their performance against Ecuador.  They are one of the favorites to win this World Cup, and so far, their performances have given us more questions than answers. De Ligt and Timber have struggled to play out of position as right-backs. Will Van Gaal change his formation to accommodate the players, or will he stick to it and make them work it out? We will see. Netherland’s main attacking option, Cody Gakpo looks like a  superstar in the making and has been carrying the Netherlands team on his own. The match versus Qatar is a great opportunity for the Netherlands to play free-flowing, attacking football, and score a bunch of goals. 

Qatar was the complete underdog in this group, and that showed on the field. In the last match against Senegal, they scored their first goal in a World Cup, ever. With two losses on their record, Qatar is out of the tournament already, but they will be looking to put up a good performance for the home crowd. However, talent-wise, they are no match at all for the mighty Netherlands team. The Netherlands wins this easily, and there will be more than four goals in the game.

The Netherlands came into the World Cup as the favorite to win Group A and everything goes by the plan for now. Yes, they could have booked their tickets for the knockout phase by now but the 1-1 tie against Ecuador puts them in a situation to have to win the last game in the group. Luckily for Louis Van Gaal’s team, Qatar is the next opponent. 

The home country didn’t show much football brilliance in the previous two games and it is obvious that they are far from the level of the tournament. The Netherlands is simply way better than Qatar and will get the job done pretty quickly by scoring at least two by halftime. Qatar will play for nothing more than pride as no result can send them to the next round.

Iran vs USA – 2PM ET

Both teams will be desperate for the three points here, as the winner of this game will be moving to the Round of 16. Iran would even be happy with the draw as they would likely still move through with just the one point. The USA are sitting in third place with two points, and will need the win to move to the next round.

Iran and the United States play perhaps the most important game of the day as the United States is in danger of being eliminated in this game if they fail to win this game. This game already had a strange feeling around it because of the political tensions between the countries, but after recent events and results through the week, this game is that much more important. The United States clearly have enough talent to get the win in this game but their lack of attacking ability has been questioned throughout their first two Group Stage games. 

Iran is coming into this game after a huge win over Wales in their second Group Stage game and now they have a chance to advance into the knockout rounds of the 2022 World Cup. They will need to force a draw or grab the win over the United States in their final Group Stage game, and with the way both teams have been playing it is very possible. However, in the end I have the United States getting the win.

After the embarrassing loss against England in the first round of the World Cup, the national team of Iran put up an outstanding performance against Wales, and an important win was the result of it. The match against the USA will decide who moves to the Round of 16 and who goes home. A win or a draw sends Iran into the next stage of the competition, so they should be the favorites to pull through. The USA has been one of the best teams in this competition, yet, they find themselves having only 2 points, with a real chance of getting kicked out of the World Cup. 

They played an outstanding first half against Wales, in which they should have taken the lead by three or more goals. However, they weren’t clinical enough to take their chances, so Wales managed to come back and secure the 1-1 draw. The match against England was pretty much the same. The USA came as underdogs controlled the game, and created goal-scoring opportunities. However, once again, they couldn’t score the goals needed to win the game and failed short. Only a win takes the USA to the final 16. I expect this to be a tough, emotional match for both teams. The under 2.5 goals seems the logical bet, but I am backing the USA to win it and go through.

This game goes beyond football with the political issues Iran and the USA have had for decades. But this game is about football and both teams are going into this game with a must-win attitude since the second round of the competition is up for grabs. Iran has a point advantage over the USA which means that they will advance even with a draw. Theoretically, there is no possibility for both of them to advance even if England loses to Wales, which will probably not happen. If we look back at the first two games of the group, team USA played better football but they failed to win against Wales. A win was something Iran was able to achieve against Wales in the final minutes of stoppage time. 

The USA also won a point against England but that will not mean anything if they don’t beat Iran. This will definitely be an intense game with a lot of duels and free kicks. Iran knows how to slow down the pace and hold the ball, and the USA will need to score despite that. The USA will create scoring opportunities but may pay the bill at the defensive end if they open up too much. However, Iran will manage to at least stay undefeated and advance.

Wales vs England – 2PM ET

England are sitting pretty in Group B, currently in first place, but they will need at least a draw to 100% confirm their position in the Round of 16. Wales are not out of it just yet, but they will need a big multi-goal win in this clash if they want to make it through to the knockout stages.

This Welsh team had a rather disappointing performance at this year’s World Cup and now unless a miracle happens they will be going home after this game. However, they still have a prime opportunity to play spoiler and stop their rivals, the English from topping the group and forcing them to play the Dutch in the Round of 16 instead of either Ecuador or Senegal. They will need to pull out their best performance in this one if they want to be slightly competitive against a top five England team. 

The English are a bit disappointed after their scoreless draw against the United States on Black Friday. However, they are still in a great position to top the group and advance into the Round of 16 even if they lose this game. It would take a ton of chaos for them to go home early. However, I don’t even expect them to lose this one, as I think they will cap off their Group Stage with a second win.

Wales are pretty much out of the competition. Only a win by four or more goals against England, who are one of the favorites to win the World Cup, would get  them back in the Round of 16. The Wales squad consists of many players who feature in the Premier League, so they are well familiar with the way England plays. However, backing them to win by four goals difference, looks like a long chance. 

After the opening masterpiece and scoring 6 goals against Iran, England were pretty underwhelming in the match against USA. England’s manager, Southgate, came under a lot of pressure from the media, the experts and the analysts for his team selection. However, barring a loss to Wales by four or more goals, England has already qualified for the Round of 16. This should be the match in which Southgate takes the breaks off and gives a little more freedom to his players. I expect to see a lot of changes in his first 11. England’s best player, Phil Foden has yet to feature for his country at this World Cup, and this is bad news for the team of Wales. This should be a comfortable win for England, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they scored five goals in this match.

Wales lost all chance of advancing to the elimination phase of the World Cup and will have a hard time finding motivation even if they will face a close rival that they have never beaten. The feeling is that England could have locked the top of the group earlier, but the risk free play against the USA brought them only a point. There is almost no possibility of England not going through, they are a much better team than Wales and will prove that on the field.

Wales has never defeated England and that will be the case in this game as well. England has a great offensive line and if they are really determined to push, they can score plenty of goals against Wales. Knowing that any win will put them on top of the group, England will play just enough to reach the next phase and save some players for the next round.
