Look below to find our free NHL picks, as we preview the four games on today’s schedule.

Minnesota Wild @ Winnipeg Jets – 7.00PM ET

The Minnesota Wild hit the road for just one game, when they travel to Winnipeg to take on the Jets. The Wild have won 11 of their last 13 games, including their last two against the Hurricanes and Red Wings. The Jets have been trading losses and wins across the last seven games, and this takes their season record to 20-18-8.

Marko Nadin

The Minnesota Wild are second in the Western Conference with a 30-11-3 record. Last time they played the Winnipeg Jets, they lost 0-2 which is their only shutout this season. After a disappointing game like that one, the Wild will have extra motivation when they visit Winnipeg on Wednesday. Minnesota is the third best scoring team in the league with 3.8 goals per game and have won the last 4 games they played on Wednesday. The Wild are coming off a 7-4 win over the New Jersey Devils. They have played over the total goals margin in 12 of the last 14 games played after one day rest.

The Winnipeg Jets are currently 12th in the Western Conference with a 20-18-8 record but they are a much better team than the standings show. Winnipeg has won 2 of the last 4 games and is coming off a 1-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. They have played under the total goals margin in 7 of the last 8 games played on Wednesday and have lost 8 of the last 10 games against Minnesota.

Marko’s NHL Pick: Minnesota Wild (-162)

Tony Battalio

The Minnesota Wild come into this game as one of the better teams in the National Hockey League so far this season. They come into this game with a record of 30-11-3 through their first 44 games of the season. Minnesota is currently in second place in the Central Division as they are nine points out of first place behind the Colorado Avalanche. The Wild are on a two game winning streak right now after picking up victories over the Carolina Hurricanes and Detroit Red Wings. They will be looking to avenge a loss to the Winnipeg Jets from a week ago where they fell to the Jets 0-2 on road.

The Winnipeg Jets will be looking for their second home victory over the Minnesota Wild in less than seven days. It has been one of the lone bright spots for the Jets during this average season they have had. They come into this game with a record of 20-18-8 as they are six games below the .500 mark through their first 46 games of the season. They are currently in sixth place in the Central Division and likely all but eliminated from the playoff race at this point with so many tough teams ahead of them. As for the result of this game, I have the Minnesota Wild avenging their loss from last week and picking up the win on the road.

Tony’s NHL Pick: Minnesota Wild (-162)

Florida Panthers @ Carolina Hurricanes – 7.30PM ET

The road trip continues on for the Florida Panthers, who face off against the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday. The Panthers had their four game winning streak snapped last time out, thanks to the Rangers, 2-5. The Hurricanes have lost three of their last four games, and this takes their season record to 32-11-3.

Marko Nadin

This matchup is likely to be seen in this seasons’ Eastern Conference finals. The Carolina Panthers are fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 32-11-3 record and they have won 16 of 21 games at home. Carolina has lost 3 of the last 4 games after winning 4 straight games. They are coming off a 2-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild. This will be their first home game after four straight on the road. Carolina is the best defensive team in the league allowing only 2.4 goals and 28.5 shots on goal per game. They are also at league-best 89.4 PP%.

The Florida Panthers have spent the majority of the season on top of the Eastern Conference but are currently third with a 32-10-5 record. They are only one point shy of the leading Tampa Bay Lightning and will try to get back on top when they visit the Hurricanes. They are coming off a 2-5 loss to the New York Islanders after winning 4 consecutive games. The Panthers are the best offensive team in the league with 4.1 goals and 36.6 shots on goal per game. Florida has won the last three games against Carolina.

Marko’s NHL Pick: Florida Panthers (+104)

Tony Battalio

The Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes are two of the best teams in the National Hockey League this season. When they take the ice on Wednesday night it is by far going to be the best game of the evening and possibly the entire week. The Florida Panthers come into this game with a record of 32-10-5 through their first 47 games of the season. They will be looking to score a win over another top team in the league in this one, on the road. The Panthers are currently in first place in the Atlantic Division, as they continue their quest to clinch the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Carolina Hurricanes come into this game with a record of 32-11-3 through their first 46 games of the season. Much like their opponents in this one, they too are a serious Stanley Cup contender in the Eastern Conference. Carolina is currently sitting in second place in the Metropolitan Division. They have hit a rough stretch as of late as they have lost three of their last five games against some less than stellar competition. They will be looking to bounce back with a huge win in this game. As for the result of this game, I have them picking up the victory over Florida at home.

Tony’s NHL Pick: Carolina Hurricanes (-125)

Anaheim Ducks @ Calgary Flames – 9.30PM ET

Two Pacific Division rivals, the Anaheim Ducks and the Calgary Flames, will face off against each other in the NHL on Wednesday night. The Ducks have lost their last two games, after going down to the Red Wings and Kraken. The Flames are playing on back-to-back nights, and last time out they beat the Blue Jackets, 6-2.

Marko Nadin

The Calgary Flames are the best team in the last two weeks in the league. They have won 7 straight games scoring 4.4 goals per game in that span. They are currently fourth in the Western Conference with a 32-11-3 record. Calgary is coming off a 6-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets which was their 8th win in the last 10 games. Calgary is the second best defense in the league allowing 2.4 goals per game. They have won the last seven games coming in as favorites. Calgary has won 4 of the last 5 games against Anaheim including the two meetings this season, but the both games have finished in a tie after regulation.

The Anaheim Ducks are currently 8th in the Western Conference with a 23-17-9 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games, most recently 3-4 against the Seattle Kraken. The Ducks are still in the playoff picture in the West but their recent form and play in general will not guarantee them a spot in the postseason. The Ducks have lost 8 straight games against conference rivals and have lost 5 of the last 6 games on the road coming in as underdogs. Anaheim has played over the total goals margin in 4 of the last 5 games against a team with a winning record.

Marko’s NHL Pick: Calgary Flames (-184)

Tony Battalio

The Anaheim Ducks come into this game with a record of 23-17-9 as they are 3 games below .500 through their first 49 games of the season. They have had an up and down year that has consisted of both long winning and losing streaks at various points of the season. Now the Ducks are sitting in fourth place of the Pacific Division as they are tied with the Los Angeles Kings. They are currently on a two game losing streak as well. Due to the weakness of the Pacific Division this season, the Ducks are still in a great position to qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs as the second half of the season gets underway.

The Calgary Flames come into this game off of the first night of a back to back. In game one of their two straight games, they faced off with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Flames controlled the scoreboard for the majority of the contest and ended up with a multi goal victory in the end. The victory improved the Calgary Flames record on the season to 27-13-6 through their first 46 games of the season. As for the result of this game, I have the Calgary Flames picking up the victory at home.

Tony’s NHL Pick: Calgary Flames (-184)

Colorado Avalanche @ Vegas Golden Knights – 10.00PM ET

The final game in the NHL on Wednesday night will see the Colorado Avalanche go toe-to-toe with the Vegas Golden Knights. The Avalanche are playing two nights in a row, and are coming off a loss in their last game against the Stars, 1-4. The Golden Knights had their three game winning streak snapped last time out, thanks to the Flames, 0-6.

Marko Nadin

The Colorado Avalanche are the team with the best record in the NHL of 34-9-4. They are coming off a 1-4 home loss to the Dallas Stars right after they defeated them 4-0 on the road. That was their second loss in the last 4 games after winning the previous ten straight games. The Avalanche are the second highest scoring team in the league with 4.1 goals per game and the fifth-best in shots on goal per game with 35.2. Colorado has won the last 5 road games and 9 of the last 10 games going in without a day off.

If there is one team in the league that can go into a game against the Colorado Avalanche and feel like a favorite, that is definitely the Vegas Golden Knights. Vegas has won the last 5 games against Colorado which is Avalanche’s worst streak against any team in the league. Vegas is currently 6th in the Western Conference with a 28-17-3 record. They are coming off a disappointing 0-6 loss to the Calgary Flames after they won three straight games. The Golden Knights have lost 4 of the last 5 games against Western Conference opponents and 4 of the last 5 against teams with a winning record over 60%.

Marko’s NHL Pick: Colorado Avalanche (-120)

Tony Battalio

The Colorado Avalanche are coming into this one off of the first night of a back to back. In game one they took on the Dallas Stars. Colorado was defeated by Dallas in that game which ended a hot run for the Avalanche as it snapped a two game winning streak. It also gave Dallas a win after falling to the Avalanche in the previous game. The loss dropped the Avalanches record to 34-9-4 through their first 47 games of the season. Now they will be looking to bounce back in this one against a fellow division leader.

The Vegas Golden Knights come into this game with a record of 28-17-3 as they are eight games above .500 through their first 48 games of the season. They are currently sitting in the driver’s seat in the Pacific Division as the second half of the season is getting underway. In their last game they had a three game winning streak broken with a loss to the Calgary Flames by a score of 0-6 on the road, as they were absolutely demolished. As for the result of this one, I have Vegas losing again this time to the Colorado Avalanche.

Tony’s NHL Pick: Colorado Avalanche (-120)
