Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Houston Texans – 1PM ET

Tony Battalio

Tampa Bay comes into this game looking to get a crucial victory against Houston on the road here in week nine. They looked solid at the beginning of the season, but as they have run into some better teams quarterback, Baker Mayfield has struggled, and Tampa Bay has struggled to pick up some much-needed victories along the way. They will be looking to get back on track with a victory here over the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon on the road as they look to grab their fourth victory of the season. The NFC South division is wide open at the moment, and if Tampa Bay can get the train back onto the tracks, they have a legitimate opportunity to win the division. However, they will have to play mistake free football if they want to grab a victory over Houston here in this one on Sunday afternoon.

The Houston Texans come into this game with three victories to their name on the season and they are performing a lot better than people would’ve expected them to. A lot of people still expected them to finish as one of the worst teams in the league this season but they have looked pretty solid throughout the first half of the year and with how wide-open the AFC South looks outside of the Jacksonville Jaguars they could easily finish second in the division, and potentially even sneak into a playoff spot if they get enough help along the way. Rookie quarterback, CJ Stroud has come along nicely, and he will be looking to put up another quality performance in this game to lead Houston to a victory at home. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Houston Texans to grab the win over Tampa Bay here in this one.

SportsTips’ NFL Pick:

Houston Texans (-150)

Chicago Bears @ New Orleans Saints – 1PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Chicago Bears have been an absolute disaster this season, and in their previous game they were absolutely blown out by the Los Angeles Chargers. Ever since quarterback Justin Fields went down with a wrist injury a couple of weeks ago Chicago has looked absolutely awful for the majority of the time without him. They will be looking to grab their third victory of the season here on Sunday afternoon on the road against the New Orleans Saints as they look to avoid finishing towards the bottom of the league, because they do not have their first round pick next year. They haven’t been too great on the road this season and their lone road victory came over the Washington Commanders back when they had Justin Fields and he arguably had the best game of his career as well. Outside of that victory against Washington. They have not been very competitive away from home, and they will be looking to change the narrative here in this one.

The New Orleans Saints will be looking to build upon the momentum from their victory in their previous game to grab a second consecutive victory over the Chicago Bears here on Sunday afternoon at home. It has been a roller coaster of a season for New Orleans as they come into this game with four victories through their first eight games of the season and they will be looking for their fifth victory of the season here in this game at home on Sunday as they look to compete for an NFC South division title. Quarterback, Derek Carr will have to be a lot more consistent if New Orleans wants to have success this season, and with the division wide open, a victory in this game against Chicago would go a long way. Not to mention the fact that this game against Chicago feels like one of those inexcusable losses if they weren’t able to get the job done. Luckily for them I expect them to grab the victory over the Bears here in this one on Sunday.

SportsTips’ NFL Pick:

NO Saints -8.5 (-110)

Minnesota Vikings @ Atlanta Falcons – 1PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Minnesota Vikings will begin navigating life without Kirk Cousins for the remainder of the season when they take on the Atlanta Falcons here on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta. They will still be without Justin Jefferson as well, and they will be desperate for a victory in this game as they look to improve their standing in the NFC North division, and the NFC wildcard race, heading into the back half of the regular season. Minnesota comes into this game with four victories to their name through their first eight games of the season, and they will be looking for a victory here on Sunday to grab their fifth win of the year. They have been picking up steam over the last three weeks as they come into this game on a three game-winning streak, and they will be looking to extend it to a fourth consecutive game with a quality performance against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Atlanta Falcons have been on a roller coaster of a season throughout the first half of the year, and they will be looking for their fifth victory of the season here at home against Minnesota on Sunday. Rookie running back Bijan Robinson is seemingly having boom or bust weeks each and every week and he will be looking for a consistent breakout performance here on Sunday against Minnesota as Atlanta looks to get rolling in the right direction. The Atlanta Falcons come into this game with an identical record of four victories, and four losses through their first eight games of the season and they will be looking for their fifth win of the year here at home on Sunday against Minnesota. The NFC South division is wide open so a victory in this game would go a long way for Atlanta if they want to win a division title this season. That is exactly what I expect. I look for the Atlanta Falcons to pull out the victory Minnesota team here on Sunday at home.

SportsTips’ NFL Pick:

Atlanta Falcons (-200)

Los Angeles Rams @ Green Bay Packers – 1PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Los Angeles Rams come into this game against the Green Bay Packers looking to get back on track after they were blown out by the Dallas Cowboys in their previous contest. It was a rough go around for Los Angeles, and they will be looking to get back into the column against a struggling Green Bay Packers team here on Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field. Los Angeles comes into this game with three victories through their first eight games of the season and they will need to pick up a crucial victory in this game if they want to remain in the playoff race, closing out the first half of the season. They are coming off of back-to-back losses to the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers so they will need a victory in this one to gain some much-needed momentum heading into the last eight weeks of the regular season.

The Green Bay Packers coming into this game looking to pick up a much-needed victory against the Los Angeles Rams here at home on Sunday afternoon. The post Aaron Rodgers era is not off to a great start thus far and it had so much hope after the first few weeks of the season but things have been rough for Green Bay as of late. Green Bay has only managed to pick up a pair of victories through their first seven games of the season. They will need to get back on track here soon if they want to remain competitive and in the playoff race in the NFC heading into the back half of the regular season. They are on a four game losing streak at the moment, and it looks to be something that will continue well into the rest of the season and that is exactly what I expect in this one as I look for the Rams to pick up the victory over the Packers here on Sunday afternoon.

SportsTips’ NFL Pick:

LA Rams (+140)

Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles – 4:25PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Dallas Cowboys come into this game looking to pick up a crucial divisional victory over the Philadelphia Eagles here on Sunday afternoon on the road in Philadelphia. It has been a solid start of the season for the Dallas Cowboys as they come into this game with five victories through their first seven games of the year and they will be looking to tie the Philadelphia Eagles for the lead in the NFC East division with a victory here on Sunday. Dak Prescott in the Dallas Cowboys, will have to play mistake free football, and they will have to control the time of possession to keep Philadelphia’s offense off of the field. Which means you will likely see a steady dose of Tony Pollard and Deuce Vaughn in this game here on Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be looking for a huge victory at home over their division rivals here on Sunday afternoon, as they look to put some more distance between themselves in Dallas within the NFC East division. Philadelphia is having an incredible season and no pun intended but they are absolutely flying at the moment and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here in this game on Sunday afternoon as they look for their eighth victory of the year. This is a team that is on a mission, and they look like one of the best teams in the league at the moment, and you can argue that they could potentially even be considered the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season. I expect this to be a close scoring and competitive game, and I look for it to go over its total points as well. But in the end, I think it’ll be the Philadelphia Eagles that pick up the victory over the Dallas Cowboys here at home.
