Golden State Warriors @ Boston Celtics – 9pm ET

The finals series between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics moves to TD Garden in Boston for Game 3. The series is currently all tied up after the Warriors ran away with it in Game 2, winning 107-88. Will the Celtics be able to take a 2-1 lead now they are playing in front of their home crowd?

The NBA Finals shift to Boston for Game 3 with the series all tied up at one game a piece. Golden State responded to blowing their big lead in Game 1 by getting a blowout victory in Game 2, sending a message to their Eastern Conference opponents. A key for Boston’s struggles was the absence in production from Al Horford and Marcus Smart who both had great games to open the series.

In Game 2, the pair just combined for 4 points and it’s nearly impossible to believe they’ll have such bad games again back at home. Both teams have been elite at bouncing back after losses and that’s exactly what the Warriors were able to show. Now it’s Boston’s turn to do so as they are a perfect 6-0 these playoffs following a loss. Pair that with the fact they’re back at home and I think this sets up as a premiere bounce-back spot for them.

While they haven’t necessarily been super entertaining, the NBA Finals head to Boston for Game 3, tied up at 1. Game 1 saw the Boston Celtics take control in the fourth quarter, en route to an easy win, while Game 2 saw the Golden State Warriors get back to playing the kind of basketball we’ve grown to expect from them, as they put together a win by nearly 20. For Boston, what these two results have shown is the fact that for this series, it’s beginning to look like Al Horford is the difference maker. He had a monstrous Game 1 in the win, but disappeared in a Game 2 loss. You can expect Jayson Tatum to show up, along with Jaylen Brown, but in the end, I think the difference makers for the Celtics are Marcus Smart and Horford. If they play well, I think the team plays well, and Boston has a real shot to win the title, but if they struggle, we may be looking at another Warriors title run.

On the other side, Golden State is going to have to keep things rolling the way they did in Game 2. If Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins can have things clicking, with guys like Draymond Green and Jordan Poole picking up some of the slack, then I’m not sure it’s going to matter what Boston does, because in the end, I think this Warriors team just has more balance, and the experience doesn’t hurt either. This one may stay close, but I’m taking Golden State here to get the win, as I think they play well with the chance to take back control of the series. Give me the Dubs by single digits here, on the road in Boston.

Noah’s NBA Pick: Golden State Warriors (+134)

Tony Battalio

The Golden State Warriors got a huge bounce back win over the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of this NBA Finals series. They will now be looking to steal a win in Boston at TD Garden to take a 2-1 lead over the Boston Celtics. They will be expecting another huge performance from Steph Curry to get them another victory. They are only three wins away from adding another ring to their impressive dynasty as they have been the most dominant team of the last decade.

The Boston Celtics looked terrible in Game 2 after such an incredible comeback in Game 1. Now they will be looking to bounce back here in Game 3 of this series as they will look to use their home court to their advantage and get a much needed victory. Jayson Tatum will have to play much better here in Game 3 after scoring 12 points in Game 1 and 28 in Game 2. As for the result of this game, I am going with the Boston Celtics to pick up the victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Tony’s NBA Pick: Boston Celtics (-158)
