Now they will be looking to grab revenge for their loss to the Indiana Pacers last weekend and even up the season series with Indiana as well as grab a victory in the opening game of this brand new in-season tournament. Cleveland is off to a bit of a shaky start this season after coming into this season with plenty of expectations, and they will be looking to turn things around with a victory here in this one. Cleveland comes into this game with a record of 2-3 on the year and they will be looking to grab their third victory of the season against their Central Division rivals. 

The Indiana Pacers come into this game looking to get their second victory of the season against the Cleveland Cavaliers. They are off to a solid start this season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling on the season and pick up another victory here on Friday night. They come into this game with two victories to their name through their first four games of the season and they will be looking to make it three out of five with their second victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers here on Friday night at home. With the status of Tyrese Haliburton up in the air this could end up being an interesting game for Indiana and that is why I’m gonna go with the Cavs and pick up the victory on the road here on Friday night.

New York Knicks @ Milwaukee Bucks – 7:30PM ET

The New York Knicks are coming off of a loss at home to the Cleveland Cavaliers and they will be looking to turn around and bounce back in this road game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. It has been a very underwhelming start of the season for the New York Knicks as they come into this game as losers of three out of their first five games of the season. They will be looking to get things headed in the right direction with a victory over one of the top teams in the conference here in this one. The Knicks have played three road games on the season already and they have picked up victories and two of them and they will be looking to grab a third victory on the road here on Friday night in Milwaukee against the Bucks.

The Milwaukee Bucks have the potential to be the favorites to win the NBA championship this season, but the tandem of Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo will certainly need time to gel on the court. Milwaukee comes into this game at home. Looking for a marquee victory over a potential contender within the conference here on Friday night at home as this in-season tournament kicks off for the first time in NBA history. Milwaukee comes into this game having split their first four games of the season and they will be looking to pick up their third victory of the year with a quality performance here on Friday night at home against the New York Knicks. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Milwaukee Bucks to pick up the victory in this game on Friday night.

Washington Wizards @ Miami Heat – 8PM ET

It has been a pretty mediocre start to the season for the Washington Wizards as they come into this game as losers of three out of their first four games on the year. They will be looking to regroup and get things heading in the right direction with a victory over the Miami Heat here on Friday night on the road in Miami in the opening game of this tournament. Washington is stuck in one of those weird spots where they are somewhat in rebuilding territory, but they will also be looking to contend for a potential playoff spot this season as well. If they do not get things turned around here soon, it seems like they will be stuck in the bottom half of the standings within the conference throughout the majority of the regular season, which is almost unacceptable when you have a talent like Jordan Poole on your roster. 

The Miami Heat came into this season with plenty of expectations of being a contender for the NBA championship, as well as the Eastern Conference. However, it has been a pretty disappointing start of the season for Miami as they come into this game as losers of four out of their first five games on the season, and they will be looking to turn things around with a crucial much-needed victory in this game. With as talented of a roster as they possess, they should be stringing some more victories together throughout the early part of the season, and they will be looking to do so, with a crucial victory here on Friday night at home against Washington. Luckily for the Miami Heat that is exactly what I expect because I look for them to pull through and grab the win in this game on Friday night to open up this tournament.

Brooklyn Nets @ Chicago Bulls – 8PM ET

The Brooklyn Nets come into this game looking to grab a solid victory on the road in Chicago here on Friday night to open up this tournament. It has been a pretty average start of the season for Brooklyn as they come into this game as winners of two out of their first four games on the season, and they will be looking for their third victory here in this one. However, Brooklyn has a multitude of injuries that could affect the outcome of this game as they have several guys that are listed as gametime decisions coming into the contest against the Chicago Bulls here on Friday night. They currently sit in fifth place of the eastern conference as they are occupying a playoff spot throughout the first couple weeks of the year. They also find themselves on a two game winning streak that they will be looking to extend with a third consecutive victory here on Friday night in Chicago.

The Chicago Bulls are also having a pretty underwhelming start to the season and they will be looking to get things back on track with a victory here on Friday night at home against the Brooklyn Nets. Considering the star power on their roster, you can argue that Chicago should be much farther ahead than they are right now, but it seems as if every team is struggling early on in this new season. They come into this game as losers of three out of their first five games on the season and they will be looking for their third victory of the season here at home on Friday night in the opening game of this tournament. This will be their first game back at home after a disaster of a three game road trip where they lost two out of three games away from home, and they will be looking to regroup inside a friendly confines. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Chicago to pick up the victory over Brooklyn here at home on Friday. 

Dallas Mavericks @ Denver Nuggets – 10PM ET

The Dallas Mavericks come into this heavyweight matchup looking to grab a crucial victory over the defending NBA champions here on Friday night on the road in Denver. Dallas is off to a fantastic start this season as they come into this game undefeated through their first four games of the year and they will be looking for a fifth consecutive victory here on Friday night on the road against Nicola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. Kyrie Irving is currently listed as a gametime decision so a lot of the responsibility could fall on the shoulders of Luka Dončić this one, but Dallas has a roster that is constructed to handle the biggest moments and coming away with a victory in this game would be an early season statement for the rest of the league. 

The defending NBA champions are off to a solid start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling in this heavyweight Western Conference matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night at home. Denver comes into this game as winners of four out of their first five games of the season and they will be looking to make it five out of six with another quality performance here and this one at home on Friday night to open up this tournament. Denver is coming off of their first loss of the season to Minnesota and they will be looking to regroup here at home and get back into the win column on Friday night against Dallas. Regardless of the outcome of this game I expect them to go over their total points line here in this one on Friday night.
