The Milwaukee Brewers (32-28), one of the lowest-scoring offenses in the National League, are set to host the Baltimore Orioles (37-22) at American Family Field on Tuesday for the first of a three-game Interleague series.
The Orioles are in the midst of a six-game road trip. They won two out of three in their last series against the Giants, taking the finale 8-3 on Sunday at Oracle Park. James McCann was 1 for 2 with a home run and two runs. Aaron Hicks added a triple, one run, and one RBI.
The Brewers are playing the first of six games at home after finishing up a seven-game road trip (4-3). They won three of four against the Reds in their last series, dropping the finale 2-0 on Monday at Great American Ball Park. Joey Wiemer went 2 for 3 with two doubles.
The teams are meeting for the first time this season. Last season, the Brewers won two of the three games between the teams.
ON THE MOUND
Kyle Gibson (7-3, 3.89 ERA) is slated to get the start for Baltimore. The righty is tied for third in the AL in wins. Gibson allowed three runs over 5.2 innings in his last start, an 8-5 road win over the Guardians on May 30. He was credited with the win, yielding seven hits while striking out three and walking one.
Righty Freddy Peralta (5-5, 4.64 ERA) gets the start for Milwaukee. In his last start on Thursday, Peralta took the loss on the road against the Blue Jays. He threw six innings and gave up three runs on six hits, striking out three and walking two in the 3-1 defeat.
