Pittsburgh Pirates @ Tampa Bay Rays – 1:10PM ET

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Tampa Bay Rays will be playing the second game of their three game weekend series in this one. In game one it was the Tampa Bay Rays who picked up the victory. Now they will be looking to secure the series victory here in game two.

Tony Battalio

The Pittsburgh Pirates will be looking to bounce back in this one after their close loss to the Tampa Bay Rays in game one on Friday afternoon. The loss drops the Pirates record on the season down to 29-41 through their first 70 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently on a one game losing streak and have won five out of their last ten games on the year. JT Brubaker takes the mound for them in this one with his 1-7 record and his 4.11 Earned Run Average on the year.

The Tampa Bay Rays come into this game looking to secure the series victory after their 4-3 win on Friday evening. It’s been an above average year for the Rays as they come into this game with a record of 38-32 through their first 70 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. Corey Kluber is on the mound for them in this one and he comes into this start with a 3-4 record and a 3.46 Earned Run Average. As for the result of this game I am going with the Rays to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Tampa Bay Rays (-190)

Marko Nadin

The Tampa Bay Rays are fourth in the AL East with a 38-32 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 4-3 10th inning win in the series opener against the Pirates. The Rays are 26th in the league scoring 4.06 runs per game and are ranked 5th in the league allowing 3.83 runs per game. Tampa Bay will start Corey Kluber tonight who is 3-4 for the season with 3.46 ERA. The Rays have won the last 5 games against NL Central teams and 42 of the last 56 interleague home games against a team with a losing record.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are third in the NL Central with a 29-41 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and came into this series after a 3-1 series win over the Chicago Cubs. The Pirates are 28th in the league scoring 3.75 runs per game and 25th allowing 5.16 runs per game. They will start JT Brubaker tonight who is 1-7 for the season with a 4.11 ERA. The Pirates have won 5 of the last 7 games against AL East teams and 4 of the last 5 games against right-handed starter.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Tampa Bay Rays (-190)

Baltimore Orioles @ Chicago White Sox – 2:10PM ET

The Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox will be playing the third game of their four game weekend series in this one. In game one and two  it was the Baltimore Orioles who picked up the victory. Now they will be looking to secure the series victory here in game three.

Tony Battalio

The Baltimore Orioles have gotten this series off to a fantastic start as they are now one win away from securing a victory and potentially setting up a sweep heading into Sunday’s finale. The Orioles have won the first two games of this series by a combined eight runs to one. As they have scored four runs in each of the first two contests against the White Sox. They now come into this game with a record of 33-39 through their first 72 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Chicago White Sox have been a complete disappointment this season. As they come into this game with a record of 33-36 through their first 69 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won five out of their last ten games on the year but currently find themselves on a three game losing streak. As for the result of this game I am going with the Baltimore Orioles to win their third straight game in this series.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles (+164)

Marko Nadin

The Chicago White Sox are third in the AL Central with a 33-36 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games including the first two of the series against the Orioles scoring only one run in those two losses. The White Sox are 21st in the league scoring 4.17 runs per game and 24th in the league allowing 4.86 runs per game. Lance Lynn will be the White Sox’ starting pitcher tonight who is 1-0 for the season with a 5.79 ERA. The White Sox have lost 10 of the last 14 games against teams with a losing record and 4 of the last 5 third games of a series.

The Baltimore Orioles are at the bottom of the AL East with a 33-39 record. They have won 4 of the last 5 games including the last two wins over the White Sox. The Orioles are 22nd in the league scoring 4.14 runs per game and are ranked 21st in the league allowing 4.54 runs per game. Baltimore will start Spencer Watkins tonight who is 0-1 for the season with a 6.00 ERA. The Orioles have won 4 of the last 5 games against teams with a losing record and have lost 72 of the last 100 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Chicago White Sox (-198)

Washington Nationals @ Texas Rangers – 4:05PM ET

The Washington Nationals and Texas Rangers will be playing the second game of their three game weekend series in this one. In game one it was the Texas Rangers who picked up the victory. Now they will be looking to secure the series victory here in game two.

Tony Battalio

The Washington Nationals have been one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball so far this season. We haven’t even entered July and they are already 21 games below the .500 mark. They come into this game with a record of 26-47 through their first 73 games on the year. They are in last place of the National League East and that is likely where they will remain for the remainder of the year as well. They have picked up three victories in their last 10 games of the year and currently find themselves on a one game winning streak entering game two of the series on Saturday.

For the amount of money that the Texas Rangers spent over the off-season to improve their team, this season could already be considered a failure. They come into this game three games under the .500 mark with a record of 33-36 through their first 69 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have picked up five victories in their last 10 games of the year but currently find themselves on a one game losing streak. As for the result of this game however, I think the Rangers will bounce back and get the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers (-118)

Marko Nadin

The Texas Rangers are second in the AL West with a 33-36 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games including the series opener against the Nationals. The Rangers are 18th in the league scoring 4.38 runs per game and are ranked 15th in the league allowing 4.32 runs per game. The Rangers will start Matt Bush who is 2-1 for the season with a 4.05 ERA. Texas has won 4 of the last 6 home games and 5 of the last 8 second games of a series.

The Washington Nationals are at the bottom of the NL East with a 26-47 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 win in the series opener against the Rangers. The Nationals are 23rd in the league scoring 4.14 runs per game and are the worst team in the league allowing 5.72 runs per game. Washington will start Josiah Gray tonight who is 6-4 for the season with a 3.95 ERA. The Nationals have lost 4 of the last 5 road games and 9 of the last 12 games overall.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers (-118)

Oakland Athletics @ Kansas City Royals – 4:10PM ET

The Oakland Athletics and Kansas City Royals will be playing the second game of their three game weekend series in this one. In game one it was the Kansas City Royals who picked up the victory. Now they will be looking to secure the series victory here in game two.

Tony Battalio

This series is being contested between the two worst teams in the American League and what most people would consider two of the worst teams in all of Major League Baseball as well. The Oakland Athletics and Kansas City Royals both sit in last place of their respective divisions. The Athletics come into this game with a record of 23-49 as they are 26 games below the .500 mark through their first 72 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Kansas City Royals haven’t been much better as they come into this game with a record of 26-43. As they are currently 17 games below the .500 mark through their first 69 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. The Royals have been playing better than the Athletics as of late as they have won six out of their last ten, compared to Oakland winning two out of their last ten. As for the result of this game I am going with the Kansas City Royals to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Kansas City Royals (-174)

Marko Nadin

The Kansas City Royals are on the bottom of the AL Central with a 26-43 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games including a 2-1 win in the series opener against the Athletics. Kansas City is ranked 27th in the league scoring only 3.92 runs per game and 26th allowing 5.24 runs per game. The Royals will start Brad Keller tonight who is 2-8 for the season with a 4.30 ERA. Kansas City has won 5 of the last 7 games against left-handed starter and has lost 10 of the last 14 home games.

The Oakland Athletics are at the bottom of the AL West with a 23-49 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games and came into the series against the Royals after a 0-3 sweep by the Seattle Mariners. The Athletics are second to last in the league scoring 3.15 runs per game and are 22nd in the league allowing 4.73 runs per game. Oakland will start Jared Koenig who is 1-2 for the season with a 6.59 ERA. The Athletics have lost 19 of the last 26 second games of a series and 7 of the last 9 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Kansas City Royals (-174)

New York Mets @ Miami Marlins – 4:10PM ET

The New York Mets and Miami Marlins will be playing the second game of their three game weekend series in this one. In game one it was the New York Mets who picked up the victory. Now they will be looking to secure the series victory here in game two.

Tony Battalio

Major League Baseball is certainly in a New York State Of Mind this season as the two best teams in the league play their home games in the Empire State. The New York Mets are the best team in the National League as they come into this game with a record of 46-26 through their first 72 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. The Mets have won six out of their last ten games on the year and are currently on a one game winning streak at the moment.

The Miami Marlins are only five games under the .500 mark with a record of 32-37 through their first 69 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won five out of their last ten games on the year. They are currently on a one game losing streak. They are currently in fourth place of the National League East division as they are 12.5 games back of the New York Mets. Cole Bassit is on the mound against the Marlins Trevor Rodgers so I’m giving the edge to the Mets in this game.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-158)

Marko Nadin

The Miami Marlins are fourth in the NL East with a 32-37 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and came into the series against the Mets after a 3-0 series win over the Colorado Rockies. Miami is ranked 13th in the league scoring 4.60 runs per game and 18th in the league allowing 4.37 runs per game. Trevor Rogers will start for the Marlins tonight who is 3-6 for the season with a 5.83 ERA. Miami has won 6 of the last 7 home games and 7 of the last 9 games played on Saturday.

The New York Mets are on top of the NL East with a 46-26 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 5-3 win in the series opener against the Marlins. The Mets are third in the league scoring 5.05 runs per game and are ranked 9th in the league allowing 4.12 runs per game. Chris Bassitt will start for the Mets tonight who is 5-5 for the season with a 4.03 ERA. The Mets have won 4 of the last 5 games against left-handed pitchers and 5 of the last 7 games against teams with a losing record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-158)
