Toronto Blue Jays @ New York Yankees – 12:35PM ET

The Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. It has been all Yankees thus far as they have the opportunity for a sweep in Wednesday’s season finale after winning game one and game two.

Tony Battalio

This is the third time this season that these two American League East division rivals are meeting. For the second straight series it has been all New York Yankees, as they have their sights set on completing the sweep on Wednesday afternoon at home in the Bronx. The Yankees have been the best team in the American League so far this season and one of the top teams in all of Major League Baseball as well. As they come into this game with a record of 21-8 through their first 29 games of the season.

The Toronto Blue Jays will be looking to salvage some momentum heading into this series finale against the New York on Wednesday. After splitting the first series of the season against the two, they haven’t won a series against the Yankees in the last two tries. As of Tuesday evening the Yankees lead the season series 6-3 after nine games. After this one they won’t meet again until mid June. As for the result of this game I am going with the Yankees to complete the sweep over Toronto.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-152)

Jeffery Thomas

The Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees will kick off Wednesday’s slate with their matinee game and series finale of a quick two-game series. The Yankees got the 6-5 walk-off win in the series opener on Tuesday. It was Aaron Judge who hit a three-run homerun in the bottom of the 9th to win the game for the Yankees, helping extend their lead in the AL East division race.

The Blue Jays usually play the Yankees pretty tough and we saw that again in their matchup on Tuesday. Jose Berrios had a rough start last time out for Toronto but has still limited his opponents to two or fewer runs in 3 of the last 4 starts. Given Jameson Taillon’s struggles in his career against the Jays and the fact the Yankees have cooled off a bit as a team recently, I’m going to roll with the road team in this one.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (+128)

Marko Nadin

The New York Yankees are on top of the AL East with the best record in the league of 21 wins and 8 losses. The Yankees have won 3 of the last 4 games including a6-5 win over the Toronto Blue Jays in the series opener. The Yankees lead the league with 1.28 home runs per game and are ranked 10th in the league with 4.49 runs per game. Jameson Tallon will start for the Yankees tonight who is 2-1 for the season with a 2.84 ERA. New York has won 10 of the last 11 games against a right-handed starter.

The Toronto Blue Jays are third in the AL East with a 17-14 record. They have lost the last three games, losing two against the Cleveland Guardians before failing against the Yankees last night. The Blue Jays are 21st in the league with 3.95 scored runs per game and 4.31 allowed runs per game. They will start Jose Berrios who is 2-1 for the season with a 5.34 ERA. Toronto has won 8 of the last 11 games against teams with a winning record and 35 of the last 51 second games of a series.

Marko’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-152)

Colorado Rockies @ San Francisco Giants – 3:45PM ET

The Colorado Rockies and the San Francisco Giants will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. It has been all Giants thus far as they have the opportunity for a sweep in Wednesday’s season finale after winning game one and game two.

Tony Battalio

The Colorado Rockies are opening a lot of people’s eyes with their decent start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. However, the wheels may be starting to fall off as they have lost their last three games in a row. It has been a rough road trip for the Rockies as they have lost both series on the six game trip as they have dropped games to the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants. Coming into the finale they are 1-4 through the first five games of this road trip. They are coming into this one with a record of 16-14.

The San Francisco Giants are on a roll at the moment, as they will be looking to finish off the three game sweep over the Colorado Rockies in this one. They come into this game with a record of 18-12 through their first 30 games of the season. They are currently on a four game winning streak as well as they look to extend it with a victory in this one. As for the result of this game, that is exactly what I expect to happen as I’m going with the San Francisco Giants to get the victory and finish off the sweep of the Colorado Rockies.

Tony’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants (-205)

Jeffery Thomas

The Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants will wrap up their three-game series on Wednesday in the Bay. The first two games have gone to the Giants who are trying to slowly work their way up the standings in the NL West.

The Giants come into this game as a huge favorite despite the fact that they have lost three of the four games started by Alex Cobb this year. On the other hand, the Rockies have won four of the five starts by Chad Kuhl, outscoring opponents 19-8 in those games. Given all those stats I think the best play for this game is the Rockies on the run line as they should have no problems keeping this one close or even winning outright.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Colorado Rockies +1.5 (-128)

Marko Nadin

The San Francisco Giants are third in the NL West with an 18-12 record. They have won the last 4 straight games scoring on average 8.5 runs per game in that span. The Giants are fifth in the league scoring 4.84 runs per game and 10th hitting 1.10 home runs per game. The Giants will start Alex Cobb tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 4.80 ERA. San Francisco has won 6 of the last 8 games against teams with a winning record and 82 of the last 120 games against a right-handed pitcher.

The Colorado Rockies are at the bottom of the NL West but have a winning record of 16 wins and 14 losses. The Rockies have lost 4 of the last 5 games including the first two games of the series against the Giants. Colorado is 7th in the league scoring 4.61 runs per game and 27th in the league allowing 5.17 runs per game. The Rockies will start Chad Kuhl tonight who is 3-0 for the season with a 1.82 ERA. Colorado has lost 7 of the last 8 games as underdog and 14 of the last 19 against NL West teams.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Colorado Rockies (+172)

Tampa Bay Rays @ Los Angeles Angels – 7:07PM ET

The Tampa Bay Rays and Los Angeles Angels will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. It has been all Angels thus far as they have the opportunity for a sweep in Wednesday’s season finale after winning game one and game two.

Tony Battalio

The Tampa Bay Rays will be looking to bounce back after being No-Hit by the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday in an 0-12 loss. They have earned the unfortunate distinction of being the first team to be no-hit or have a perfect game thrown against them this season. They come into this game with a record of 18-13 through their first 31 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have lost their last three games of the season as they are 6-4 in their last ten games.

The Los Angeles Angels are rolling so far in this series as they will be looking to finish off the sweep against one of the best teams in the American League in this series finale on Wednesday. They come into this game with a record of 21-11 through their first 32 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season as they are currently in first place of the American League West division. As for the result of this game I am going with the Los Angeles Angels to cap off the series sweep.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (-120)

Jeffery Thomas

The Tampa Bay Rays will look to get back on track and avoid getting swept in this series against the Los Angeles Angels. The series opener was an 11-3 blowout victory by LA followed up by yet another blowout win on Tuesday and the Rays now find themselves on a three-game losing streak. The Angels on the other hand have now won three in a row and 6 of 7. They are still holding down that top spot in the AL West and if they keep this up they will find themselves back in the postseason for the first time since 2014. This series has been dominated by the Angels and they are by far the better team right now. There is no reason to go against them in this spot, especially with reigning MVP Shohei Ohtani taking the mound in the series finale. Bank on a superstar performance from him to complete the series sweep.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (-120)

Marko Nadin

The Los Angeles Angels are on top of AL West with a 20-11 record. They have won 6 of the last 7 games including two wins in the first two games against the Tampa Bay lightning by a total score of 23-3. The Angels are the third-best offensive team in the league scoring 4.91 runs per game and are seventh allowing 3.76 runs per game. Shohei Ohtani will start for the Angels tonight who is 3-2 for the season with a 3.08 ERA. The Angels have won the last 9 third games of a series.

The Tampa Bay Rays are second in the AL East with a 18-13 record. They have lost the last three games after winning the previous six straight. The Rays are 9th in the league scoring 4.51 runs per game and are 20th allowing 4.27 runs per game. Shane McClanahan will start for the Rays tonight who is 2-2 for the season with a 3.06 ERA. Tampa Bay has won 6 of the last 7 third games of a series, 8 of the last 10 games on grass and have lost 7 of the last 10 games as road underdog.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (-120)

Houston Astros @ Minnesota Twins – 7:40PM ET

The Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins will be playing the second game of their three game series in this one. In game number one of the series it was the Houston Astros who got the win and now they will be looking to clinch the series in this one on Wednesday.

Tony Battalio

The Houston Astros have had a somewhat slow start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season by their standards. However, they have picked it up as of late as they now come into this game with a record of 19-11 through their first 30 games of the season. They are currently in second place of the American League West division as they trail the Los Angeles Angels by a single game. They are 8-2 in their last ten games of the season, as they have won their last eight games in a row.

The Minnesota Twins are off to a pleasantly surprising start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They come into this game with a record of 18-12 through their first 30 games of the season. They currently sit in first place of the American League Central division as they hold a 2.5 game lead over the Chicago White Sox at the moment. As for the result of this game I am going with the Houston Astros to get the win and clinch the series.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-118)

Jeffery Thomas

The Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins will match back up and play Game 2 of their three-game set on Wednesday. Houston took the series opener 5-0 on the back of a dominant pitching performance from Justin Verlander who pushed his record out to 4-1. Verlander pitched 8 innings of one hit ball, striking out five and helped Houston move their record to 19-11 on the year. The Twins are not far behind at 18-12 and will hope to even up the series with a win on Wednesday.

The Astros’ winning streak is now up to eight games and the pitching performances just continue to be stellar. The Twins have a depleted lineup right now and that’s a nightmare going against this rotation that just continues to mow hitters down. This is a great price to continue backing one of the hottest teams in the league and I can’t pass it up.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-118)

Marko Nadin

The Minnesota Twins are on top of the AL Central with a 18-12 record. They have won 3 of the last 4 games but are coming off a 5-0 loss in the series opener against the Houston Astros. The Twins are 20th in the league scoring 3.99 runs per game and 4th allowing 3.31. Chris Archer will start for the Twins tonight who has a 3.26 ERA. Minnesota has won the last 5 second games of a series, the last 7 home games against a right-handed starter and 12 of the last 14 games on grass.

The Houston Astros are second in the AL West with a 19-11 record. They are on an eight-game winning streak. In four of those 8 games, the Astros didn’t allow any run and in all 8 didn’t allow more than 2 runs. Houston is fifth in the league hitting 1.22 home runs per game and are third in the league allowing 3.19 runs per game. The Astros will start Jose Urquidi tonight who is 2-1 for the season with a 4.56 ERA. The Astros have won 10 of the last 11 games as favorites.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-118)

Kansas City Royals @ Texas Rangers – 8:05PM ET

The Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers will be playing the second game of their three game series in this one. In game number one of the series it was the Rangers who got the win and now they will be looking to clinch the series in this one on Wednesday.

Tony Battalio

It’s been a rough year so far for both of these teams, but there is onemain difference between the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers. The difference is that nobody was expecting much out of the Kansas City Royals, while the Texas Rangers had some expectations after all the money they spent in the offseason on key players to bolster their team. They were expected to be a serious contender in the American League West division, but so far they have been a disappointment.

The Kansas City Royals come into this game with a record of 9-18 through their first 27 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in fourth place in the American League Central division. Meanwhile, the Texas Rangers come into this game with a record of 12-16 through their first 28 games of the season and they also sit in fourth place of the American League West division. As for the result of this game I am taking the Texas Rangers to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers

Jeffery Thomas

The Texas Rangers got a 6-4 win over the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday and will look to continue that success on Wednesday to win their first series since 5/3-5/4 against the Philadelphia Phillies. Corey Seager was vital in the victory, hitting two home runs to snap his 0-for-16 slump. He’s hit six home runs on the year now and interestingly all of them have come at home. Martin Perez pitched into the seventh inning and was able to record his first win of the season. The Royals are just 2-6 this month and given their recent outings, I can’t back them with any confidence right now.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers

Marko Nadin

The Texas Rangers are third in the AL West with a 12-16 record. They have won 6 of the last 8 games including a 6-4 win in the series opener against the Kansas City Royals. The Rangers are 14th in the league scoring 4.19 runs per game and 18th in the league allowing 4.23 runs per game. Matt Bush will start for the Rangers tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 4.09 ERA. The Rangers have won 4 of the last 5 second games of a series and have lost 10 of the last 14 home games.

The Kansas City Royals are 4th in the AL Central with a 9-18 record. They have lost the last three games. The Royals are second to last in the league scoring 3.14 runs per game and are ranked 26th in the league allowing 4.88 runs per game. Kansas City will start Kris Bubic tonight who is 0-3 for the season with a 13.14 ERA. The Royals have lost 72 of the last 101 games against AL West teams and 9 of the last 12 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Kansas City Royals
