Cleveland Guardians @ Detroit Tigers – 1:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Cleveland Guardians will be looking to bounce back and win the finale of this series after being swept during yesterday’s doubleheader with the Detroit Tigers. It was a rough showing for the Guardians offense yesterday throughout both games after their rookie starting pitchers held up pretty well and kept them in the ball games. They will have to be a lot more productive at the plate here in the third and final game of the series against the Detroit Tigers if they want to salvage a victory and avoid being swept. It would be a very important win for Cleveland, as they don’t wanna fall behind three games to Detroit with only 11 left to play following this game.

The Detroit Tigers have an opportunity to sweep the Cleveland Guardians for the first time in what seems like several decades. They used a lot of timely hitting yesterday during the doubleheader to get both victories against Cleveland and now they will be looking to do the same here in the third and final game of the series on Wednesday afternoon. However, I just don’t see it happening as I think the Cleveland Guardians will bounce back with a much-needed victory here in the third and final game of the series on Wednesday.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Cleveland Guardians (-140)

Philadelphia Phillies @ Chicago White Sox – 2:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Philadelphia Phillies split a doubleheader yesterday with the Chicago White Sox and now they will be looking to take the third and final game of the series and win the series on the road. As good as Philadelphia looked in game number one of the series, was as bad as they looked in game number two of the series later that night. They raced out to a solid victory in game number one behind a good performance from starting pitcher Zack Wheeler. However, in game number two, they didn’t have an answer for Lucas Giolito on the mound for the White Sox. Now they will be looking to bounce back and take the third and final game of the series on Wednesday afternoon.

The Chicago White Sox were very effective in the second game of the doubleheader against Philadelphia on Tuesday evening. However, they will hope they don’t repeat the mistakes that they had in game number one of the doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. Chicago will start Mike Clevinger in this game, and Philadelphia is sending Taj Walker to the mound. So this one could arguably go either way and you should expect a solid pitching matchup between the two. However, in the end, I have the Philadelphia Phillies picking up the victory over the Chicago White Sox here on Wednesday afternoon.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Philadelphia Phillies (-115)

Milwaukee Brewers @ Seattle Mariners – 4:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Milwaukee Brewers and the Seattle Mariners played a thrilling game last night that went deep into extra innings. In the end, it was the Milwaukee Brewers, who picked up the victory, and their second consecutive winner of the series. Now they come into the third and final game of the series on Wednesday afternoon looking to complete the three game sweep of the Seattle Mariners on the road. Milwaukee is off to a red hot start this season as they have now won 13 of their first 18 games on the year.

It has been a completely opposite start to the season for the Seattle Mariners as they come into this one under .500, as they have only managed to win eight out of their first 18 games of the season. They will be looking to bounce back in the finale of this series, and avoid being swept by the Milwaukee Brewers here on Wednesday afternoon. The pitching matchup in this one will be Eric Lauer for Milwaukee and Marco Gonzales for the Seattle Mariners. In my opinion that gives Seattle the advantage, as I think they manage to get themselves a victory and salvage one win in this series.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Seattle Mariners (-130)

Baltimore Orioles @ Washington Nationals – 7:05PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Baltimore Orioles got a huge victory over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday evening. Now they will be looking to win the second and final game of the short to game series to complete the sweep of Washington here on Wednesday night. It is likely that it’ll take a little bit more offensive production from Baltimore in this one after they only managed to score 1 run off of Josiah Gray yesterday. It has been a solid start to the season for Baltimore as they have picked up double digit victories in their first 17 games of the season.

The Washington Nationals are having a rough start to the year, and now they will be looking to avoid a sweep in the short to game series against the rivals from Baltimore. It did not take long for Washington to establish what many people already knew and that is the fact that they were going to be one of the worst teams in all of Major League Baseball this season. McKenzie Gore will be on the mountain for the Washington Nationals in this one, as they get the added luxury of having their two best pitchers starting against Baltimore. He will be looking to do what Josiah Gray couldn’t do and that is get a victory. However, I still don’t see that happening as I think Baltimore gets the win and completes the sweep of Washington here on Wednesday.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Baltimore Orioles (-140)

Toronto Blue Jays @ Houston Astros – 8:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Toronto Blue Jays are off to a somewhat fast start the season as they have picked up 11 victories in their first 18 games of the year. They come into the finale of this three-game series against the Houston Astros looking to take two out of three games on the road against the defending World Series champions. They picked up the victory on Tuesday evening that even up the series, and now they have a legitimate opportunity to clinch the series here on Wednesday if they have a similar type of performance.

The Houston Astros will be looking to bounce back from their loss yesterday and take two out of three from a solid Toronto Blue Jays team in this game and series. It has been a less than ideal start to the season for the defending champions, as they come into this game under .500 as they are still looking to get things back on track. Luis Garcia takes them out for Houston and this one was José Berríos gets on the bump for Toronto. In my opinion, the pitching matchup favors Toronto and their offense has been a bit better throughout the season, so I’m taking Toronto to grab the win in the finale of the series.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Toronto Blue Jays (-115)
