St.Louis Cardinals @ Colorado Rockies – 3:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The St.Louis Cardinals come into this game and series after a rough start to the season. They’ve only managed to pick up four victories in their first 11 games of the season after being touted as a potential favorite in the National League Central division throughout the off-season. Heading into the finale of this three-game series against Colorado both teams have won a game a piece after St. Louis grabbed a victory last night to even up the series. Now they will be looking to grab game three and get themselves their second victory in a row as well as take this three-game series from the Rockies.

It has been a less than ideal start to the season for the Colorado Rockies this year. They come into this game having won only five of their first 12 games of the year. They will be looking to take the third and final game of the series against St. Louis and get a huge series victory against a potential playoff team in the National League. José Urena will be on the mound for Colorado in this one, and he is off to a terrible start this season. His earned run average is in the double digits, and he has lost both appearances this year. I don’t expect to get much better for him or Colorado as I have St.Louis grabbing the victory.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

St.Louis Cardinals (-175)

Milwaukee Brewers @ Arizona Diamondbacks – 3:40PM ET

Tony Battalio

Last night was a great night on the mound for former Cy Young winner, Corbin Burnes, and a great night for the Brewers at the plate as well. As they thrashed Arizona and picked up a victory in the second game of the series. Now they come into the finale of this series on Wednesday afternoon, looking to take the series and win this decisive third game. It has been a fast start to the season for the Milwaukee Brewers as they have picked up eight victories in their first 11 games of the year. They currently sit in first place of the National League Central division, and with the way St. Louis and Chicago have looked, there is potential that Milwaukee could go wire to wire as the leaders of the division. Janson Junk will be on the mound for the Brewers, making his season debut in this one.

It has been a surprisingly solid start to the season for the Arizona Diamondbacks and they will look to keep the momentum rolling with a victory in this third and final game against Milwaukee. They picked up the winning game number one, but faltered last night in game two to allow the Brewers to even up the series. Arizona comes into this game having picked up seven victories in their first 12 games of the season and they currently sit close to the top in the National League West division. Drey Jameson, and takes the mound for this one and he will be looking for his third victory of the season in four appearances. That is exactly what I expect as I have the Arizona Diamondbacks taking this third and final game.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Arizona Diamondbacks (-125)

Miami Marlins @ Philadelphia Phillies – 4:05PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Miami Marlins picked up a huge victory in game two of the series on Tuesday evening, and now they will be looking to take the series with a victory in Wednesday’s finale. It was a complete 180 from their performance on Monday when they were absolutely crushed by the Philadelphia Phillies. They put up eight runs on Tuesday evening and picked up a much needed victory against their National League East divisional rivals. Miami comes into this game having picked up five victories in their first 12 games of the season and much like the rest of the NL East, not named Atlanta, they are off to a slow start.

The Philadelphia Phillies picked up a huge victory in game one of the series on Monday evening, and now they will be looking to take the series with a victory in Wednesday’s finale. The Philadelphia Phillies looked competitive on Tuesday, but they were still able to grab the victory and clinch the series. Now they will be looking to bounce back from their loss and take two out of three games from the Miami Marlins before heading into the weekend. Zach Wheeler takes the mound for Philadelphia in this one against Miami which gives them the advantage in my opinion. That is why I have the Philadelphia Phillies picking up the victory on Wednesday afternoon.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Philadelphia Phillies (-190)

Washington Nationals @ Los Angeles Angels – 4:07PM ET

Tony Battalio

As expected, it’s been a very rough start to the season for the Washington Nationals, but they were able to steal a win in game number one of the series against the Los Angeles Angels. They could not get a similar resort in game number two as they were shut out by Los Angeles but on the bright side, they did hold them to two runs. They arguably have their best starting pitcher so far this season on the mound for them in this one as MacKenzie Gore takes the ball for Washington. He has already picked up two victories this season and will be looking for a third here in this game against the Angels.

The Los Angeles Angels will be looking to take the third and final game of the series against Washington, and take two out of three games in this series. Griffin Canning will be on the mound for Los Angeles, and this one as he makes his 2023 regular season debut. The Angels will be looking to be a bit more productive at the plate, after only putting up two runs last night during their victory. I expect them to grab the victory in the third game of the series against Washington, and close out the series with some momentum before heading into the weekend.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

LA Angels (-165)

Boston Red Sox @ Tampa Bay Rays – 6:40PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Boston Red Sox come into the third game of the series, still searching for a victory against the Tampa Bay Rays this season. Boston is arguably the best opponent that the Tampa Bay Rays have faced up to this point of the year but they have been unable to get a victory over them yet. Chris Sale takes the mound for Boston in this one and despite his unusually high earned run average, he does have a victory to his name this season. However, that is something that he will have to work on as his earned run average currently sits in the double digits coming into this game. The Boston offense also needs to improve as they’ve only managed to score 2 runs in the first two games of the series. Both of those runs came in their loss on Tuesday evening to Tampa Bay.

The Tampa Bay Rays hot start has continued throughout the first couple games of this series, and now they will be looking to sweep the Boston Red Sox as well. They have now won 11 consecutive games to open up the season and with every victory they get closer and closer to setting a record for most victories to open up the year. They have already clinched a share of this four-game series against the Boston Red Sox and  with another victory. On Wednesday night they will clinch the series and give themselves another opportunity at a sweep to open up the year. Taj Bradley will make his season debut on the mound for Tampa Bay and I think they will get their 12 consecutive victory as well.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

TB Rays (-130)
