San Francisco Giants @ Cleveland Guardians – 6:10pm ET

The San Francisco Giants and Cleveland Guardians will be playing in the second game of their three game series. In game one of the series it was the Giants who picked up the victory and they will be looking to clinch the series in this one.

Tony Battalio

The San Francisco Giants cooled down a red hot Cleveland Guardians offense behind a spectacular performance from Carlos Rodon. After scoring 44 runs in their last 4 games the Giants held the Guardians to just a single as they picked up a commanding 4-1 victory to spoil the home opener for Cleveland. Now they will look to take game two and clinch the series victory as well behind Anthony DeSclafani on Saturday. He is coming into this one having already made one start this season that resulted in a no decision as he will look to bring down his 4.91 Earned Run Average.

After a week full of explosive offensive performances the Guardians bats went limp on Friday night. Now they will be looking to bounce back in the middle game of this three game series as Cal Quantrill makes his second start of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. In his first start he picked up the victory and posted a 3.60 Earned Run Average. As for the result of this game I think the Cleveland Guardians will pick up the victory over the San Francisco Giants to set up a winner take all series finale on Sunday.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Cleveland Guardians (+100)

Marko Nadin

The Cleveland Guardians have started the season with a 4-3 record. After winning 4 consecutive games they have lost the last one 4-1 to San Francisco. Cleveland had only 3 hits in the game. They are ranked on top of the league with 6.68 scored runs per game, .286 AVG and .847 OVS. The Guardians will start Cal Quantrill who is 1-0 for the season with a 3.60 ERA and 1.00 WHIP. Cleveland has lost 6 of the last 8 interleague games and 22 of the last 28 games as home underdogs.

The San Francisco Giants have started the season with a 5-2 record. They have won the last three games allowing a total of 4 runs. The Giants are ranked second in the league allowing 2.39 runs per game and 0.42 home runs per game and are ranked third with .576 OVS. The Giants have dominated Cleveland in the past years winning 9 of the last 10 games. They will start Anthony DeSclafani who has 4.91 ERA this season. The Giants have won 5 of the last 6 interleague games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants (-118)

Los Angeles Angels @ Texas Rangers – 7:05pm ET

The Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers will be playing in the third game of their four game series. In game one the Rangers got the win, in game two the Los Angeles Angels fought back. Now both teams will be looking to grab a two to one lead in game three.

Tony Battalio

The Texas Rangers came into this Major League Baseball season with a ton of expectations and thus far they are not living up to them. As they now have a record of 2-5 through their first seven games on the season. They squandered an early lead in this one, and a free run and would end up losing 9-6 after the Angels put up five runs in the sixth inning to take the lead for good. Now the Texas Rangers will look to bounce back in game three as Taylor Hearn is set to make his second start of the season with a 0-0 record.

The Los Angeles Angels found a way to win in this one, even after a weird choice to intentionally walk Corey Seager with the bases loaded in the fourth inning. Now the Angels come into this huge game three of this four game series with a record of 4-4 through their first eight games of the year. Taking the mound for them in this one will be Noah Syndergaard who is making his second career start as an Angel and is 1-0 on the season. As for the result of this game I have the Los Angeles Angels picking up the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (-126)

Marko Nadin

The Texas Rangers have started the season with a 2-5 record. They are going into the third game over the Angels after winning 10-5 the first one and losing 9-6 in the second one. Despite the losing record, the Rangers are the second-best scoring team in the league with 6.45 runs per game and are ranked third with 1.31 home runs per game. Texas will start Taylor Hearn who has 2.25 ERA and is 6-7 in his MLB career. The Rangers have won 3 of the last 5 games over the LA Angels.

The Los Angeles Angels are 4-4 in the season and have won 3 of the last 4 games. The Angels are ranked 23rd in the league scoring 3.63 runs per game and 25th allowing 5.08 runs per game. The Angels will start Noah Syndergaard who is 1-0 for the season with a 0.75 WHIP. The Angels have won 5 of the last 7 Saturday games, and the last 4 road games against a left-handed pitcher but have lost 11 of the last 16 games and 8 of the last 11 games as favorites.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (-126)

St.Louis Cardinals @ Milwaukee Brewers – 7:10pm ET

The St.Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers will be playing in the third game of their four game series. In game one of the series it was the Brewers who picked up the victory, in game two the Cardinals buried the Brewers. Now both teams will look to get a leg up in game three.

Tony Battalio

After a 5-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday night to open up the four game weekend series, the St.Louis Cardinals bounced back in a huge way in game two. They were hot right out of the gate and put up 6 runs in the first two innings of the game to take an early 6-0 lead. After adding another two in the fifth to go up 8-0 they would end up winning this one by a score 10-1 on Friday night. Now Steven Matz takes the ball on Saturday looking to bounce back from his terrible first start of the year and get the Cardinals another win.

The Milwaukee Brewers came out incredibly flat on Friday night and now have to find a way to get a second win in this four game series on Saturday. Adrian Houser takes the ball for the Brew Crew in game three of four looking to bounce back from his rough first start of the season as well. The Brewers come into this matchup with a record of 4-4 on the season as they are still many people’s favorites to win the National League Central despite a slow start out of the gate. As for the result of this one however, I have the St.Louis Cardinals taking the win to secure at least a split in this series.

Tony’s MLB Pick: St.Louis Cardinals (+102)

Marko Nadin

This is the third game of the Brewers vs Cardinals matchup with both teams winning one of the previous two games. The Milwaukee Brewers have started the season with a 4-4 record. They are ranked third in the league with 6.11 runs per game. The Cardinals will start Steven Matz who is 0-1 for the season with 21 ERA They have won 7 of the last 9 games against the Brewers, 12 of the last 13 road games with the total set at 9.0-10.5 and 9 of the last 11 games as an underdog.

The Milwaukee Brewers have started the year with a 4-4 record. They have lost the last game 10-1 to the Cardinals after winning the previous three. The Brewers are ranked 27th in the league with 3.13 runs per game and 21st with 4.83 allowed runs per game. The Brewers will start Adrian Houser who is 0-1 this season with a 4.91 ERA. Milwaukee have won 5 of the last 6 games as home favorite and 26 of the last 52 games played on Saturday.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers (-120)

Houston Astros @ Seattle Mariners – 9:10pm ET

The Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners will be playing in the second game of their three game series. In game one of the series it was the Mariners who picked up the victory and they will be looking to clinch the series in this one.

Tony Battalio

The Houston Astros absolutely got taken to the woodshed on Friday night in the series opener. As the Seattle Mariners put up eleven runs in a great offensive performance. As Jake Odorizzi got absolutely hammered in this one as his leash in H-Town continues to get shorter and shorter with every bad outing. Make no mistake about it however, the trash can banging Astro’s are still the favorites to win the American League pennant and possibly bring home another World Series ring. In this one they will hand the ball off to Justin Verlander.

The Seattle Mariners were just a few games short of the postseason last year. It marked the beginning of a turnaround for a franchise that hasn’t seen postseason success for quite some time now. They have never won a World Series, in fact they have never even made one either. But they will be looking to put that behind them this season as they come into this game with a record of 4-4 on the year. As for the result of this game I’m taking the Mariners to clinch the series victory over the Houston Astros and set up the sweep for Sunday.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Seattle Mariners (+126)

Marko Nadin

The Seattle Marines have started the season with a 3-4 record and put an end to a four-game losing streak with a 5-1 win in the last game against the Chicago White Sox. They had 7 hits against 4 of the opponents. The Mariners will start Chris Flexen who is 0-1 for the season with a 6.23 ERA. They have won 21 of the last 29 games against teams from the NL West, 10 of the last 14 games against right-handed pitchers and 12 of the last 15 games with the total set at 7.0-8.5.

The Houston Astros are 4-2 for the season and are coming off a 3-2 extra inning loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Astros will start Justin Verlander who is 0-1 for the season with a 1.80 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. They are ranked first in the league allowing only 2.36 runs per game and 4th in the league with 6.58 strikeouts per game. Houston has won 5 of the last 6 games against AL West opponents, 4 of the last 5 second games of the series and 5 of the last 7 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-148)

Cincinnati Reds @ Los Angeles Dodgers – 10:10pm ET

The Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers will be playing in the third game of their four game series. In game one of the series it was the Dodgers who picked up the victory, in game two the Dodgers got another win. Now they will look to clinch the series in game three as they have already secured a split at least.

Tony Battalio

The Cincinnati Reds late season collapse last year has seemingly carried over into the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As the Reds come into this game with a record of 2-6. They have lost their last four games on the year as they were swept by the Cleveland Guardians in a two game series. Now they have lost the first two games to the Los Angeles Dodgers as well. They will be looking to bounce back in this third game as they hand the baseball to young phenom Hunter Greene who got a win in his first ever big league start.

The Los Angeles Dodgers don’t seem to rebuild, they just reload. Somehow after losing Corey Seager they come back this year looking even better. The Dodgers dynasty is alive and well as they will look for another trip to the Fall Classic and another ring in this 2022 Major League Baseball season. They come into this game with a record of 5-2 as they will hand the ball off to Julio Urias. Who is looking to rebound from his shaky start to the season as he comes into this one 0-1 with a 13.50 Earned Run Average. That is why I have the Cincinnati Reds snapping their losing streak and getting the victory in this one.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Cincinnati Reds (+205)

Marko Nadin

The Los Angeles Dodgers are 5-2 for the season. They have won the last 4 games allowing only 6 runs in total. The Dodgers are ranked 4th in the league with 5.88 runs per game and 6th allowing 3.46 runs per game. They have won the last 4 games against the Cincinnati Reds. The Dodgers will start Julio Urias who is 0-1 for the season with a 13.50 ERA. The Dodgers have won 40 of the last 52 games as home favorites and 51 of the last 70 game splayed on grass.

The Cincinnati Reds are 2-6 in the season and have lost the previous two games in the series against the Dodgers. The Reds are ranked 11th in the league scoring 4.50 runs per game and 28th in the league allowing 6.15 runs per game. They will start Hunter Greene who is 1-0 for the season with a 5.40 ERA. The Reds have won the last 6 games after losing the first two games of the series and 21 of the last 31 of the third games of the series.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers (-255)
