The Colorado Rockies (26-35) host the San Francisco Giants (29-30) at Coors Field on Tuesday for the opener of a three-game series. The Giants are heading on the road after a rough six-game homestand (2-4).

They won only one out of three in their last series against the Orioles, dropping the finale 8-3 on Sunday at Oracle Park. Blake Sabol was 1 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs.

The Rockies are back home for a six-game homestand after finishing up a tough seven-game road trip (2-5). They won two of three against the Royals in their last series, dropping the finale 2-0 on Sunday at Ewing M. Kauffman Stadium.

Mike Moustakas went 2 for 4. The teams are meeting for the first time this season. The Giants dominated the 2022 season series between the NL West rivals (14-5), including a sweep in their most recent three-game set at Oracle Park in September.

ON THE MOUND

John Brebbia (2-0, 3.80 ERA) is set for the start for San Francisco. The righty threw a scoreless inning in relief in his last appearance, a 3-2 road defeat against the Orioles on Friday. He struck out one. Over 11 appearances (three starts) against the Rockies in 2022, Brebbia was 1-0 with a 2.16 ERA over 8.1 innings.

He had nine strikeouts and no walks. For Colorado, righty Dinelson Lamet (1-2, 13.17 ERA) will take the mound. Lamet made five appearances against the Giants in 2022, all out of the bullpen, striking out 12 and walking four over 6.2 innings (0-0, 8.10).

In his last start on Wednesday, Lamet took the loss on the road against the Diamondbacks. He threw three innings and gave up five runs on seven hits, striking out four, in the 6-0 defeat.
