The Texas Southern Tigers (14-20, 10-11 SWAC) take on the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights (19-15, 12-7 NEC) Wednesday at University of Dayton Arena in the NCAA Tournament First Four.
Fairleigh Dickinson was narrowly beaten by the Merrimack Warriors 67-66 at Lawler Arena on March 7 in the Northeast Conference Tourney Championship.
Demetre Roberts was the scoring leader in the loss with 15 points. Cameron Tweedy was another standout performer with 13 points and nine rebounds.
Texas Southern won their third in a row in a close one in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tourney Championship on Saturday at Bartow Arena, beating the Grambling State Tigers 61-58.
