#7 Tennessee @ Syracuse – 2:30pm ET

Tennessee comes into this game undefeated and they will be looking for a quality victory to remain undefeated and further establish themselves as a top 10 team in the country this season. This would also be a solid résumé building victory for Tennessee early on in the year against a quality Syracuse team that is expected to make some noise within the Atlantic Coast Conference as well. They come into this game averaging around 80 points per game as a team and they are coming off of three double digit victories to open up the regular season as well. They will be looking to make it a fourth consecutive victory to open up the year in this game against circus on Monday afternoon as they look to keep the momentum rolling early on in the regular season. They will also be searching for a fourth consecutive double digit victory to open up the season, as they look to continue moving up the top 25 rankings with each win.

Syracuse has the opportunity to pull off a top 10 victory early on in the year and likely put themselves in the top 25 rankings with a win here on Monday afternoon against Tennessee. It would be a massive résumé building victory for the Syracuse team that is in the middle of a bit of a rebuilding era after the retirement of Jim Boeheim. They are usually one of the top teams in college basketball each and every year but that is not been the case the last couple years and a momentum boosting victory like this could further their case to reestablish themselves as a team in the country. They are off to a fantastic start to the season as they come into this game undefeated through their first three of the year and they are averaging around 83 points as a team as well. As always, they have a solid defense and they will be looking to grab a crucial victory here in this one. Unfortunately for Syracuse as I don’t see that happening, I look for Tennessee the take the win.

#2 Purdue @ #11 Gonzaga – 5pm ET

The Purdue Boilermakers come into this game looking to pick up a solid, résumé building victory early on in the season against a quality Gonzaga team. This is a Purdue team that has very high expectations coming into the season and it is arguably Matt Painter’s best team during his time at Purdue. You can make the argument the same thing was said last year until they were upset by a 16 seed in the first round of the NCAA tournament, but they have the majority of their team back this year, and they are healthy and ready to make a deep tournament run. They are off to a solid start to the season this year as they come into this game undefeated and they will be looking to remain undefeated with a huge victory here against Gonzaga on Monday night. They are coming off of a solid victory against Xavier and now they will be looking to take down another top mid major with a win here in this one.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are coming into this game undefeated with two comfortable quality victories under their belt throughout the early part of the regular season. They will be looking for a third consecutive victory to open up the year in this game on Monday night against Purdue to open up the Maui Invitational tournament. For the last several years, Gonzaga has been one of the top teams in the country but that national championship still eludes them and that is their ultimate goal. They will be looking to take down the number two team in the country with a quality performance here on Monday night as they look to further establish themselves as a threat to win the national title this season. They come into this game averaging triple digits throughout their first two games of the season on the offensive end of the court. I expect this to be a close and competitive game between these two top teams but in the end I do look for Gonzaga to pull out the win over Purdue.

Saint Joseph @ #17 Kentucky – 7pm ET

Saint Joseph comes into this game, looking to pull off the upset on the road against Kentucky here on Monday night. This is a team that has made some noise in the past during the NCAA tournament and they will be looking to make some noise throughout the early part of this regular season with a quality win in this game. A victory for them here in this one against Kentucky would be a massive momentum boost for the team for the remainder of the regular season. It would also give them a huge early season résumé building victory in the process. They are off to a pretty respectable start to the season as they come into this game as winners of three out of their first four games on the year and they will be looking to make it four out of five with a quality performance here on Monday night against Kentucky. They have been stingy on the defensive end of the court as they have given up less than 60 points a game throughout their first four games but they will be looking to snap a one game losing streak here in this one.

Kentucky comes into this game, looking to further establish themselves as a top team in the country and bounce back from their loss to Kansas a couple weeks ago. They come into this game as winners of three out of their last four but they find themselves ranked in the middle of the top 25 as they are ranked 17th in the country coming into this game on Monday night against Saint Joseph’s. That has been their lowest starting ranking throughout the John Calipari era, but it’s easy to see why, as Kentucky is not as much of a threat as they used to be over the last several seasons. They will be looking to prove everybody wrong with another quality performance here in this game on Monday night as they look for their fourth victory of the regular season. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Kentucky to pick up the win and cover the spread in the process here on Monday night.

#25 Colorado @ Richmond – 8pm ET

Colorado comes into this game looking to grab a solid early season victory over a respectable mid-major here here on Friday night. They come into this game occupying the very last spot in the top 25 and they will be looking to grab another victory and further establish themselves as a top 25 team in the country in the process. They come into this game undefeated through their first three games of the season, and they will be looking for their fourth consecutive victory to open up the season here on Monday night against the Richmond Spiders. KJ Simpson has led the way for them throughout the early part of the year as he is averaging 19 points a game through their first three games of the year and he will be looking to record another quality performance here in this one on Monday. They have one of the highest scoring offenses in the country throughout the first couple weeks of the season as they are averaging around 92 points per game at the moment. 

Richmond comes into this game looking to pull off a solid early season upset and give themselves a massive momentum boost heading into the remainder of November as well. They come into this game as winners of two out of their first three games of the season and a victory over Colorado could give them a solid, early-season résumé building win in the process. They are averaging around 82 points per game on the offensive end of the court, but they will have to find a way to stop this Colorado offense throughout this game on Monday night if they want to be successful and pick up the victory. They will need to plan an efficient mistake free game of basketball in this game to secure the top 25 episode of a solid Colorado team here in this one. Unfortunately for Richmond I don’t see that happening. I look for Colorado to not only pick up the victory here on Monday night, but cover the spread in the process.

UCLA @ #4 Marquette – 11:30pm ET

UCLA comes into this game undefeated and they will be looking for an early season marquee victory here on Monday night against the Golden Eagles of Marquette. A victory in this game would be a huge momentum boost for the UCLA team and give them a massive résumé building victory early on in the regular season as well. They have looked spectacular through their first three games of the season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with another quality performance here on Monday night against a top team in the country. This is an early season measuring stick game for the UCLA program and they will be looking to pass that test with flying colors with a victory here on Monday night against Marquette. They are coming off of three consecutive blowout victories to open up the regular season, and they will be looking for a fourth consecutive win here on Monday night.

Marquette is off to a fantastic start this season, and they will be looking to further establish themselves as a top five team in the country with another quality performance here on Monday night. They are undefeated throughout their first three games of the season and they are coming off of a solid victory against Illinois in one of their previous games. Now will be looking to take down another power five program here on Monday night against the UCLA Bruins. They are expected to be one of the top teams within their conference this season, and a victory in this game against UCLA would be a solid résumé builder in case they were unable to win their conference tournament and get an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. They have been electric on the offensive end of the floor as they are averaging around 86 points per game throughout the first three games of the season. I expect them to pick up a fourth consecutive victory in this game on Monday night against UCLA.
