Kris Murray had 31 points and 20 rebounds, leading the team. The teams are meeting for the only time this season. Iowa State took the only matchup between the teams last season 73-53 at James H. Hilton Coliseum in December 2021.
Izaiah Brockington led the Cyclones with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Bohannon had 17 points in defeat. The Cyclones have been led this season by Holmes, who is averaging 14.8 points per game. Meanwhile, Aljaz Kunc is grabbing 6.4 rebounds per game, and Tamin Lipsey is dishing 3.8 assists. Murray’s 21.0 points per game have powered the Hawkeyes on offense.
Murray also has pulled down 10.6 rebounds per game. Tony Perkins has doled out 3.0 assists per game. The Hawkeyes rank third in the NCAA in offensive efficiency, while the Cyclones are 11th in defensive efficiency.
