The West Virginia Mountaineers (10-7, 0-5 Big 12) will be looking to halt their losing streak when they welcome the No. 14 TCU Horned Frogs (14-3, 3-2 Big 12) on Wednesday. TCU defeated the Kansas State Wildcats 82-68 at Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena on Saturday. Emanuel Miller led the way with 23 points and eight rebounds.
The Horned Frogs remain fifth in the Big 12 Conference. West Virginia dropped their fifth in a row in a close one on Saturday at Lloyd Noble Center, falling to the Oklahoma Sooners 77-76. Tre Mitchell had 16 points in the loss, carrying the team. The Mountaineers fell to 10th in the Big 12 Conference.
The teams are meeting for the only time this season. TCU and West Virginia split their matchups last season, each team winning one. The Mountaineers came out on top in the last meeting 70-64 at WVU Coliseum in March 2022. Taz Sherman led the Mountaineers with 25 points. Mike Miles Jr. had 17 points in the loss.
The Horned Frogs have been led this season by Miles Jr., who is averaging 15.6 points per game. Meanwhile, Eddie Lampkin Jr. is grabbing 6.8 rebounds per game, and Damion Baugh is dishing 3.4 assists.
