The Boston College Eagles (9-11, 3-6 ACC) will try to break down one of the nation’s top scoring defenses when they travel to face the No. 7 Virginia Cavaliers (15-3, 7-2 ACC) on Saturday. Boston College beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 84-72 at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center on Saturday.

With 29 points and 14 rebounds, Quinten Post led the way. The Eagles are 11th in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Virginia won their fifth in a row on Saturday at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, beating the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 76-67.

Armaan Franklin had 25 points and 10 rebounds, carrying the team. The Cavaliers remain second in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The teams are meeting for the only time this season.

Virginia came out on top in the only game between the teams last season 67-55 at John Paul Jones Arena in February 2022, their third straight head-to-head victory.

Kihei Clark led the Cavaliers with 19 points, while Kadin Shedrick contributed 13 points and eight rebounds. James Karnik had 16 points in the loss.

The Eagles have been led this season by Makai Ashton-Langford and Jaeden Zackery, who are averaging 11.2 and 10.4 points per game, respectively. Zackery also has dished 2.2 assists per game.
