The UCLA Bruins (28-4, 19-2 Pac-12) face off against the Oregon Ducks (19-13, 13-8 Pac-12) Friday at T-Mobile Arena in the Pac-12 Conference Tournament semifinals.
Oregon topped the Washington State Cougars 75-70 at T-Mobile Arena yesterday in the quarterfinals, their fourth win in a row. With 17 points apiece, Jermaine Couisnard and Keeshawn Barthelemy were the scoring leaders. N’Faly Dante added 16 points and 11 rebounds.
UCLA won their 11th in a row in the quarterfinals yesterday at T-Mobile Arena, beating the Colorado Buffaloes 80-69. Amari Bailey had 26 points to lead the team.
UCLA was unbeaten in the regular season against Oregon, winning both of their games, the last of which was a 70-63 victory at Matthew Knight Arena on February 11.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. led the Bruins with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Couisnard had 19 points in the loss. The Ducks have been led this season by Dante and Will Richardson, who are averaging 13.1 and 12.2 points per game, respectively.
Dante also has grabbed 8.1 rebounds per game, while Richardson has dished 5.2 assists per game. Jaquez Jr. has powered the Bruins’ offense, averaging 17.4 points per game. Jaquez Jr. also has pulled down 8.0 rebounds per game.
Tyger Campbell has recorded 4.8 assists per game. The Bruins rank as one of the best scoring defenses in the NCAA, seventh-best with 60.4 points per game allowed. Oregon is 6-4 in the last 10 games with an average margin of +4.2 (72.9-68.7).
UCLA has won each of the last 10 amid the team’s 11-game win streak, scoring 73.8 points per game on average while holding opponents to 59.9 (+13.9 margin).
