The No. 21 TCU Horned Frogs (8-1) will be looking to add to their winning streak when they host the struggling Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils (1-10) on Sunday. Mississippi Valley State was dismantled by the Wichita State Shockers 71-48 at Charles Koch Arena on Tuesday, their sixth consecutive loss.
With 14 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks, Rayquan Brown had a standout performance in defeat. TCU won their sixth in a row on December 10 at Dickies Arena, beating the SMU Mustangs 83-75. Mike Miles Jr. had 18 points, leading the team.
The Horned Frogs got the win in the last meeting between the teams 106-53 at Wilkerson-Greines Athletic Center in November 2014.The Delta Devils have been led this season by Terry Collins, who is averaging 16.2 points per game. Collins also is contributing 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Miles Jr.’s 12.1 points per game have powered the Horned Frogs on offense. Eddie Lampkin Jr. is collecting 7.3 rebounds per game, and Shahada Wells is doling out 3.8 assists.In the last 10 games, Mississippi Valley State is 1-9 with an average margin of -19.7 (52.9-72.6).
