The North Carolina State Wolfpack (11-4, 1-3 ACC) will try to break down one of the country’s top scoring defenses when they welcome the No. 16 Duke Blue Devils (11-3, 2-1 ACC) on Wednesday. Duke dominated the Florida State Seminoles 86-67 at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday.

North Carolina State came up short on Friday at Littlejohn Coliseum, falling to the Clemson Tigers 78-64. Terquavion Smith topped the scoresheet in the loss with 21 points. With 7 points and 11 rebounds, Jack Clark also played a part.
The Wolfpack are 12th in the Atlantic Coast Conference. It’s the only meeting of the season between the teams. Duke came out on top in the only matchup between the teams last season 88-73 at Cameron Indoor Stadium in January 2022, their third straight head-to-head victory.
Paolo Banchero led the Blue Devils with 21 points, while Mark Williams added 19 points, 11 rebounds, and eight blocks. Smith had 19 points in defeat. The Blue Devils have been led this season by Kyle Filipowski and Jeremy Roach, who are averaging 13.8 and 12.5 points per game, respectively. Filipowski also has grabbed 8.6 rebounds per game, while Roach has dished 3.4 assists per game.
Smith (18.1 ppg) and Jarkel Joiner (15.7) have powered the Wolfpack’s offense. Smith also has doled out 5.3 assists per game. Clark has posted 7.2 rebounds per game.
