The No. 16 Miami (FL) Hurricanes (14-3, 5-2 ACC), one of the country’s top shooting teams, welcome the Syracuse Orange (12-6, 5-2 ACC) on Monday. Syracuse beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 78-73 at JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday.
Chris Bell was the leading scorer with 17 points. Maliq Brown added 15 points. The Orange slipped to third in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Miami (FL) dropped a close one on Saturday at PNC Arena, falling to the North Carolina State Wolfpack 83-81 in overtime.
Isaiah Wong had 25 points and six rebounds in the losing effort, carrying the team. The Hurricanes slipped to sixth in the Atlantic Coast Conference. This marks the only meeting of the season between the teams.
Miami (FL) won both matchups between the teams last season, the last of which was a 75-72 triumph at JMA Wireless Dome in March 2022. Jordan Miller led the Hurricanes with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Buddy Boeheim had 30 points in defeat.
