#7 Tennessee @ #1 Kansas – 2:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Tennessee Volunteers come into this game looking to bounce back after losing their semifinal matchup to Purdue. It was a solid performance from Tennessee but they ended up coming up against Purdue and they will be looking to get right back into the win column here on Wednesday afternoon against one of the top teams in the country. This is a Tennessee team that has a lot of potential and a lot of expectations this season and as long as they remain healthy and consistent they should be able to live up to those expectations as they try to win an SEC championship and make a deep tournament run. One of the best teams in the country down to the wire. They will be looking to bounce back the very next day and pick up a victory here in this one to wrap up their Maui Invitational tournament visit with a third place finish.

The Kansas Jayhawks will be looking to follow up their tough loss in the semifinals on Wednesday night with a massive victory in the third place game of this tournament on Wednesday afternoon. They will be looking to get right back into the win column after losing last night as they look to get the momentum rolling in the right direction again early on in the regular season. despite the loss that is not one to be embarrassed of as they lost to one of the top teams in the country and it is only their first loss of the season. This is a team that is capable of potentially winning out the rest of the way as long as they remain healthy and consistent and it should be a quality loss when it comes time to decide the at-large field for the NCAA tournament if they were to somehow not win their conference tournament. I expect this game between them and Tennessee to be a quality game here on Wednesday afternoon and I look for them to bounce back and pick up victory here in this one as well.

#8 Creighton @ Loyola Chicago – 4PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Creighton Blue Jays come into this game undefeated and they will be looking to remain undefeated with a quality victory here on Wednesday night against Loyola Chicago. They are off to a fantastic start this season and this is a Creighton team that has plenty of potential as long as they can remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season. They are led by Trey Alexander and Ryan Kalkbrenner and both of them players have stepped up and put up some huge performances throughout the early part of the regular season. They will both be looking to add another huge performance to their total in this game on Wednesday afternoon as Creighton to grab a potential résumé building victory, and remain in the top 10 of the country with another win here on Wednesday.

Loyola Chicago has become the Cinderella team of the country over the last several seasons and they will be looking to pull off a massive early season upset here on Wednesday night against Creighton. They are off to a somewhat respectable start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here in this one against a top 10 team in the country. They have split their first four games of the season and they will be looking to pick up their third victory of the season and get a massive momentum boost in the process here on Wednesday night with a victory over an undefeated and eighth ranked Creighton team. I expect this to be a solid game that goes down to the wire but in the end I do look for Creighton to pull out the victory over Loyola Chicago, and remain undefeated on the season.

SportsTips’ NCAAB Pick:

Creighton -16.5 (-110)

#2 Purdue @ #4 Marquette – 5PM ET

Tony Battalio

Purdue put up a quality performance in their semi finals victory over Tennessee and they will be looking to replicate that performance here in the finals on Wednesday afternoon. They are one of the best teams in the country this season despite their shocking upset loss in the first round of the NCAA tournament last year. They are arguably, considered one of the favorites to bring home the national championship this season, and they arguably have the best player in the country as well in the form of Zach Edey. They will be looking to have another quality performance in this game for the third consecutive day and win the Maui invitational tournament here on Wednesday afternoon. They will also look to continue racking résumé building victories with another victory here in this one over a top five team in the country.

It was an incredible victory for the Marquette Golden Eagles on Tuesday night and now they will be looking to win the Maui invitational with another solid performance here on Wednesday afternoon. They will be looking to get two back-to-back top five victories as well and give themselves one of the best resumes in college basketball already this season. They come into this game undefeated and they will be looking to remain undefeated with another quality victory over Purdue and crown themselves, Maui Invitational champions in the process. This will be one of the best games of the regular season as these two heavyweights face off and what could end up being a potential rematch of a late stage NCAA tournament game four months from now in March. This one can arguably go either way but I look for Marquette to pick up the win and remain undefeated as they look like the best team in the country right now.

West Virginia @ #24 Virginia – 6PM ET

Tony Battalio

There has been a lot of drama and issues surrounding the West Virginia basketball program throughout the offseason and this season. Long time head coach, Bob Huggins stepped down prior to the season beginning because of several ongoing scandals in his personal life and West Virginia is having a rocky start to the season. They will be looking for a huge momentum, boosting victory to get the train rolling in the right direction on the tracks here on Wednesday night against Virginia. West Virginia comes into this game after splitting their first four games of the season and they will be looking for their third victory of the year here on Wednesday night against a top 25 ranked Virginia team. They will also be looking to bounce back from a loss to SMU and their previous game and get right back in the win column here on Wednesday as well.

Virginia is off to a somewhat decent start this season and this is one of their lowest early season rankings in quite a while. They got used to being a national powerhouse under Tony Bennett over the last decade or so, and they will be looking to further establish that they are still here to play for national championships this year and well into the future as well. They have picked up four victories in their first five games of the regular season, but they will be looking to bounce back after getting blown out by the Wisconsin Badgers in their previous game. They looked completely lackluster in that game against Wisconsin and their previous contest, and they will be looking to change that here in this game against West Virginia as they look to get back into the win column heading into Thanksgiving and the end of November. That is exactly what I expect in this as I look for Virginia to pick up the victory over West Virginia here on Wednesday night.

SportsTips’ NCAAB Pick:

Virginia -9.5 (-110)

#13 Baylor @ Oregon State – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

Baylor is off to a quality start this season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with another victory over Oregon State here on Wednesday night. They come into this game ranked inside of the top 15 of the country and they are undefeated coming into this one as well, and they will be looking to remain undefeated with another quality victory here over the Oregon State Beavers. This has the potential to be an early season, résumé building victory for the Baylor Bears as they look to keep the momentum rolling throughout their nonconference schedule before heading into Big 12 conference play. They come into this season as one of the potential favorites to win the conference. Baylor has blown out four consecutive opponents to open up the season, and they will be looking for a fifth consecutive double digit victory here on Wednesday night against the Beavers.

Oregon State is off to a quality start this season and they will be looking to grab an early season résumé boosting victory here on Wednesday night against the Baylor Bears. Oregon State comes into this game as winners of three out of their first four games of the season, and a victory in this game would give them a much needed momentum boost throughout the remainder of their nonconference schedule. A victory in this game over Baylor would give them one of the best resumes in the Pac, 12 conference throughout the early part of the regular season, as they look to further establish themselves as potential contenders to win the conference tournament. I expect this to be a close and competitive game throughout the entire entirety of the contest, but in the end, I do look for Baylor to pick up the win over Oregon State to remain undefeated on the year.

SportsTips’ NCAAB Pick:

Baylor -16.5 (-110)
