The Kennesaw State Owls (8-4) will try to slow down one of the nation’s top shooting teams when they travel to face the No. 18 Indiana Hoosiers (9-3, 1-1 Big 10) on Friday. Kennesaw State defeated the USC Upstate Spartans 65-56 at KSU Convocation Center on Tuesday.
With 16 points, Terrell Burden was the scoring leader. Brandon Stroud chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds. Indiana won in dominating fashion on Tuesday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, beating the Elon Phoenix 96-72. Race Thompson had 18 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks, leading the team.
The Hoosiers earned the win in the last meeting between the teams 99-72 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in December 2015. Chris Youngblood is averaging 14.2 points per game to lead the Owls in scoring this season.
Meanwhile, Stroud is grabbing 6.8 rebounds per game, and Burden is dishing 3.8 assists. Trayce Jackson-Davis has powered the Hoosiers on offense, averaging 14.9 points per game. Jackson-Davis also has pulled down 7.5 rebounds per game. Xavier Johnson has distributed 4.9 assists per game.
