Saint Joseph’s comes into this game looking to be the second mid-major team from the Philadelphia area to pick up a victory over Villanova this season. They are off to a pretty average start to the regular season and they will be looking for a huge résumé building victory here on Wednesday night on the road against the Villanova Wildcats. They come into this game after winning four out of their first six games on the year and they will be looking for their fifth victory of the season here on Wednesday night on the road against a nationally ranked Villanova team. They come into this game with a little bit of momentum after picking up a victory in their previous matchup, and they will be looking to grab a second consecutive victory here in this one against Villanova. They have already beaten Pennsylvania earlier this season, so a victory over Villanova would put them in the championship game of the big five classic later this year.

The Villanova Wildcats will need to bounce back from their big five classic loss of Pennsylvania earlier in the season if they want any chance to win the inaugural big five classic championship game later on in the year. It would also look bad for their résumé if they drop another game this early in the season to a mid-major school that they should beat by double digits. Villanova comes into this game ranked 18th in the country and a lot of people argue that they may be underrated throughout the early part of the year. Villanova comes into this game is winners of six out of their first seven games on the season and they will be looking for their seventh victory of the year here on Wednesday night at home against their rivals. They have not lost since their loss  Pennsylvania earlier this season and I expect them to maintain that pace with another victory here on Wednesday night against Saint Joseph’s at home. 

Buffalo @ #22 James Madison – 7PM ET

Buffalo is off to a pretty lackluster start to the regular season and they will be looking to get things going in the right direction with a solid performance here on Wednesday night. It will be no easy task for Buffalo as they hit the road to play a nationally ranked and undefeated James Madison team here in this one as they look for their second victory of the regular season. They have been pretty underwhelming throughout the early part of the year and they will need to seriously improve in several areas of the game if they want to turn around and upset this solid James Madison team here on Wednesday night, as they look to build as much momentum as possible heading into the month of December. They come into this game as losers of five out of their first six games on the season. Now they will be desperately searching for a second victory here on Wednesday night against James Madison. Buffalo is hardly been competitive throughout their current three game losing streak, and they will be looking to snap that in this game on Wednesday.

James Madison has had a quality start to the regular season as they come into this game undefeated and ranked inside of the top 25 of the country. They will be looking to maintain their solid start to the season with another quality performance here on Wednesday night at home against a struggling Buffalo team. James Madison has won six consecutive games to open up the regular season and they will be looking for a seventh consecutive victory here in this one on their home floor. They have been almost unstoppable on the offensive end of the court as they are averaging over 90 points per game throughout their first six games of the regular season. I expect that to continue in this game on Wednesday night at home against Buffalo. As I look for another offensive outburst to carry this James Madison team to their seventh consecutive victory open up the year. As I look for them to pick up the win here in this one and cover the spread over Buffalo in the process.

#10 Tennessee @ #17 North Carolina – 7:15PM ET

The Tennessee Volunteers are off to a quality start throughout the early part of the regular season and they would like to maintain that start here on Wednesday night on the road in Chapel Hill. Tennessee comes into this game ranked inside of the top 10 of the country heading into the month of December and they will be looking to further maintain that ranking with a quality résumé building victory over North Carolina. Tennessee has plenty of potential this season as long as they remain healthy and consistent and a victory in this game over the Tar Heels would go a long way in helping establish themselves as a contender. Tennessee comes into this game with a record of 4-2 through their first six games of the regular season. Tennessee will be looking to pick up their fifth victory of the season in this game on Wednesday night against North Carolina. They will need to bounce back after a rough showing in the Maui Invitational where they lost back to back games to Kansas and Purdue. 

North Carolina is off to a respectable start to this season after coming into the year being arguably underrated by the majority of the people in the country. They will be looking to keep the momentum rolling and pick up a huge résumé boosting victory in this game on Wednesday night at home against Tennessee. This is a solid top 20 match up to open up the early part of the regular season and close out the month of November as both of these teams have looked solid throughout the early part of the season as well. North Carolina will be looking to a top 10 victory to their résumé with a quality performance here on Wednesday night at home where they’ve been very tough to be throughout the history of the program. They will be looking to further prove that narrative to be true with a quality performance against Tennessee here on Wednesday night. They come into this game with five victories in their first six games of the season and I look for them to pick up their sixth victory of the season here on Wednesday at home against Tennessee.

#14 Texas A&M @ Virginia – 7:15PM ET

The Aggies of Texas A&M are off to a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to maintain that quality start when they hit the road to play the Virginia Cavaliers. They come to this game ranked 14th and the country and they will be looking to grab a huge résumé boosting victory early on in the regular season here on Wednesday night on the road. They come into this game as winners of six out of their first seven games of the regular season and they will be looking to make it seven out of eight with another quality performance here on Wednesday night on the road against Virginia. They come into this game with a little bit of momentum after picking up a victory over Iowa State and their previous game and they will be looking for a second consecutive win here in this one. Texas A&M will need to find a way to score the basketball against Virginia’s hard nose defense here in this game if they want to pick up a win on the road in Charlottesville.

Virginia comes into this game ranked outside of the top 25 this season for the first time in quite a while as Tony Bennett has built them into one of the best basketball programs in the country over the last decade. However, a victory in this game on Wednesday night at home against the nationally ranked Texas A&M team could put Virginia back into the top 25 when the new rankings come out next week. Virginia comes into this game as winners of five out of their first six games on the regular season and they will be looking for their sixth victory of the year here and this one at home on Wednesday night against a solid Texas A&M team. Like usual they have one of the most suffocating defenses in the country as they are giving up less than 60 points per game throughout the early part of the regular season. They come into this game with some men after beating West Virginia in their previous game, and I look for them to get a second consecutive victory here on Wednesday night as well.

#7 Duke @ Arkansas – 9:15PM ET

The Duke Blue Devils are off to a fantastic start to the regular season, and they will be looking to maintain that solid start to the year with another victory on the road against Arkansas. This game has the potential to be a solid, résumé building victory for Duke, depending on how Arkansas finishes the year considering the expectations they had coming into the season. Duke comes into this game ranked inside of the top 10 of the country as they are currently seventh in the country, and they will be looking to further move up the rankings with a string of quality performances throughout the next couple of weeks. Duke comes into this game with five victories through their first six games of the season and they will be looking to pick up their sixth victory of the season here on Wednesday night on the road in Fayetteville against the Arkansas Razorbacks. A victory for Duke in this game would help keep them inside the top, 10 of the country and further establish them as a national title contender this season.

The Arkansas Razorbacks had high expectations coming into the year, but they have not lived up to those expectations throughout the first couple weeks of the regular season. They will be looking to get things back on track with a quality performance in this game on Wednesday night at home against a nationally ranked Duke team. As Arkansas looks for an early season statement victory over one of the top teams in the country. Arkansas comes into this game with four victories through their first seven games of the season, and they will be looking for their fifth victory of the year here, and this one on Wednesday night at home against Duke. After being ranked in the top 25 to start the season, they fell out of the rankings after a pair of back-to-back ugly losses and I don’t look for this game to get much better for them here on Wednesday. As I look for Duke to go on the road and pick up the victory over Arkansas.
