After opening up the season with a blowout victory, they regressed in their double digit loss to Harvard in their previous game and now they will be looking to get back into the win column against Texas. This will be one of their toughest test of the season, and it will certainly not be an easy task for this race team but if they control the pace of play and make their shots every time down the court, as well as get a few key stops they could find themselves in contention by the time the end of the game comes around.
The Texas Longhorns are off to a quality start this season as they come into this game with a pair of blowout victories through their first two games of the year. They will be looking for a third consecutive comfortable victory here on Wednesday night at home as they look to further establish themselves as a contender for the national championship this season. After posting similar games against the University of Incarnate Word, and Delaware State, Texas finds themselves with plenty of momentum coming into this game and they will be looking to ride that wave of momentum to another 20+ point victory here on Wednesday night against Rice. They have been fantastic on the defensive end of the court as a team throughout their first two games as they are averaging over double digit steals per game throughout the early part of the regular season.
