Florida A&M @ #8 Creighton – 9PM ET

Tony Battalio

Florida A&M comes into this game looking to pull off a season opening upset against a top 10 ranked Creighton team here on Tuesday night on the road. This would be a momentum boosting victory, and a program changing victory for Florida A&M and I would give them plenty of momentum heading into the rest of the regular season. Florida A&M comes into this game after two of their top players from last season transferred out of the program over the off-season, and they do not have a single double digit scorer on their roster coming into this year. They are a team that will likely not be very competitive this season as they do not have the experience or the talent to get the job done against massive teams like this top 10 Creighton team they will play here on Tuesday night on the road to open up the season.

Creighton comes into this game with plenty of expectations, and despite sharing a conference with the defending national title winners, Creighton is arguably the favorite to win the Big East conference this season. Two of the best players on the roster from last season for Creighton return as Ryan Kalkbrenner is back in the middle of this lineup, and he is going to be a force to be reckoned with as he turns into a potential Naismith winner candidate. They come into season, ranked eighth in the initial preseason rankings, and they will be looking to further rise up the rankings throughout the regular season, and it starts with getting a massive victory on opening night against Florida and am here on Tuesday. I expect them to pick up a comfortable victory to open up the season and cover the spread here on Tuesday night.

Auburn @ #20 Baylor – 9PM ET

Tony Battalio

Auburn comes into this game looking to grab an early season top 25 victory over Baylor here on Tuesday night. This is going to be one of the best games of the evening as these two power five programs face off to open up the season, and both of them have the potential to make the tournament runs this year as well. Two of the three leading scores from last year’s Auburn Tigers team return as they have plenty of experience and talent to pick up solid victories like this one against Baylor here on Tuesday night. They should be a potential contender for the top of the SEC conference in the regular season, and they are a Darkhorse candidate to win the SEC tournament as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the year.

Baylor comes into this game looking to defend their top 25 ranking and grab a crucial season opening victory against Auburn here on Tuesday night at home. The Baylor Bears are a team that is very capable of making another deep tournament run as long as they remain healthy and consistent, and they should be pretty competitive inside of the big 12 conference alongside the lakes of Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Baylor is coming off of a season where they won 23 games and made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament, and they will be looking to improve upon that this season with a quality start. That is exactly what I expect because I look for them to open up the year with a victory over Auburn here on Tuesday night at home.

SportsTips’ NCAAB Pick:
