Connecticut comes into this game with nine victories through their first 10 games of the regular season and they are currently ranked fifth in the country and they will look to move up the rankings with another quality victory here on Friday night on the road against Gonzaga. They have built up plenty of momentum coming into this game and they will look to maintain that momentum throughout this game on Friday night and pick up another solid win early on in the year.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs are off to a solid start to the regular season and they will look to maintain that momentum with a huge victory at home over the defending national champs here on Friday. This is a Gonzaga program that has long shed the narrative that they are nothing more than a mid major but they have yet to win that elusive national championship that has been evading them throughout the last decade. They will be hoping that this year is the year they can finally grab that elusive national championship and if they continue to perform well throughout the year and remain healthy and consistent, they will have a legitimate shot heading into the tournament. Victory in this game would go a long way in building their résumé for the season if they can grab the win against the Connecticut Huskies. That is exactly what I expect out of Gonzaga as I look for them to pick up the win in this game here at home on Friday night.
