Duke lost in blowout fashion on Sunday at Moda Center at the Rose Quarter, falling to the Purdue Boilermakers 75-56. Tyrese Proctor had 16 points in the loss, leading the team.This is the only meeting of the season between the teams. Ohio State got the win in the only matchup between the teams last season 71-66 at Value City Arena in November 2021.
Zed Key led the Buckeyes with 20 points, while E.J. Liddell was a key contributor with 14 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, and three blocks. Wendell Moore Jr. had 17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in defeat. The Buckeyes have been led this season by Brice Sensabaugh and Sueing, who are averaging 15.8 and 14.5 points per game, respectively.
Meanwhile, Key is grabbing 8.5 rebounds per game, and Isaac Likekele is dishing 3.5 assists. Kyle Filipowski’s 15.4 points per game have powered the Blue Devils on offense. Filipowski also has posted 9.4 rebounds per game. Jeremy Roach has recorded 3.6 assists per game. The Blue Devils rank as one of the top scoring defenses in the country, 19th-best with 57.0 points per game allowed.
