The Boston College Eagles (13-15, 7-10 ACC) will try to break down one of the NCAA’s top scoring defenses when they play host to the No. 6 Virginia Cavaliers (21-4, 13-3 ACC) on Wednesday.

Virginia squeaked by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 57-55 at John Paul Jones Arena on Saturday, their fourth win in a row. Kihei Clark was a top performer with 15 points. The Cavaliers remain first in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Boston College were victorious on Saturday at Donald L. Tucker Center, beating the Florida State Seminoles 75-69. Quinten Post topped the scoresheet with 21 points. With 16 points and seven rebounds, Devin McGlockton also played a part. The Eagles remain 10th in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The teams are meeting for the final time this season. Virginia will be aiming for a season sweep against Boston College after earning the win in the only earlier matchup 76-57 at John Paul Jones Arena on January 28, their fourth straight head-to-head victory. Jayden Gardner led the Cavaliers with 18 points.

Post had 24 points in the losing effort. The Cavaliers have been led this season by Armaan Franklin (12.7 ppg), Clark (11.8), and Gardner (11.1). Gardner also has grabbed 5.2 rebounds per game, while Clark has dished 5.8 assists per game.
