North Dakota State @ #5 Kansas – 8PM ET

North Dakota State comes into this game after a tough loss while Kansas comes into this game after winning their opening game of the season. Now they will both be looking to advance to 2-0 on the season with another win here on Thursday evening.

The North Dakota State Bison football program is one of the greatest of all time, unfortunately the same still cannot be said for the basketball program. They dropped their season opener to the tenth ranked Arkansas Razorbacks by a score of 58-76. Now they will be looking to bounce back in this one against a top five Kansas team, on the road in Allen FieldHouse. 

The Kansas Jayhawks are the defending national champions and they opened up this brand new season with a victory on Monday evening. Now they will be looking to grab victory number two here on Thursday evening against a scrappy North Dakota State team when they come into the fieldhouse. I expect the Jayhawks to grab the easy win in this game and cover the spread. 

Texas Southern @ #25 Texas Tech – 8PM ET

Texas Southern comes into this game after a tough loss while Texas Tech comes into this game after winning their opening game of the season. Now they will both be looking to advance to 2-0 on the season with another win here on Thursday evening.

Texas Southern comes into this game looking to grab their first win of the season and it won’t be an easy task against a tough Texas Tech team. In their season opener as they lost by thirteen points to San Francisco on the road. Now they will continue their road trip and pick up a win. Last season they finished 19-13 and made it to the NCAA tournament but were absolutely destroyed by Kansas in the first round. 

The Texas Tech Red Raiders are coming into this game after defeating Northwestern State by twenty four points to open up the season. Now they will be looking to add another blow out win to their resume to open up the year as well. This will be their second straight home game out of three games before they head off to the Maui Invitational in late November. I think they will pick up the easy win in this game but not cover the spread. 

Bethune @ #13 Indiana – 8:30PM ET

Bethune comes into this game after a tough loss while Indiana comes into this game after winning their opening game of the season. Now they will both be looking to advance to 2-0 on the season with another win here on Thursday evening.

Bethune is coming into this game looking to rebound after a tough loss the other night at the hands of Iowa. They looked completely outmatched on the defensive end of the court as they nearly gave up triple digit points. On the offensive end of the floor they did manage to drop 58 points for themselves but they came nowhere close to winning and would end up losing by 31 points. 

Now they will take on a second straight Big Ten opponent when they face off with the thirteenth ranked Indiana Hoosiers on Thursday night. The Hoosiers opened up their season with a win over Morehead State by a score of 88-53. As Trayce Jackson-Davis led the way with fifteen points. I expect Indiana to go over their total points in this game which in turn lets the over/under hit. 

North Dakota @ #9 Creighton – 9PM ET

North Dakota and Creighton both come into this game after winning their opening games of the season. Now they will both be looking to advance to 2-0 on the season with another win here on Thursday evening.

North Dakota and Creighton are both coming into this game undefeated on the season. Now unfortunately for them one of them will have to lose their second game of the season. North Dakota opened up their season with a victory over Incarnate Word by a score of 65-57 as it was a close game throughout and they pulled away late. Now they will have a much tougher test of their hands when they face a top ten team in their second game of the brand new college basketball season. Creighton also opened up their season with a victory, as they defeated St.Thomas (Minnesota) by a score of 72-60. While it was closer than expected, I don’t think there was ever much pressure on the Blue Jays throughout the game. They should have no problem grabbing another win here in this game as well and that is exactly what I expect them to do. I expect them to cover the spread in the process as well. 

Houston Christian @ #12 Texas – 9PM ET

Houston Christian comes into this game after a tough loss while Texas comes into this game after winning their opening game of the season. Now they will both be looking to advance to 2-0 on the season with another win here on Thursday evening.

Houston Christian will be looking to get back on track after they opened their season up with a loss. They looked less than competitive in their game against Florida International, as they put up a fight but never really got close before losing 77-66. Leading the way for them was Brycen Long as he scored 31 points and shot nearly 79% from the field. They will really have their hands full in this one as they remain in the state of Texas and will travel to Austin to play the 12th ranked Texas Longhorns. 

The Texas Longhorns opened up their season with a victory over the University Of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), and the game wasn’t really close. As the Longhorns cruised to a massive 72-57 victory to open up the 2022-23 college basketball season. I expect more of the same to happen in this game as I think Texas will easily add another win to their and cover the spread in the process
