The Boston College Eagles (11-13, 5-8 ACC) will try to slow down one of the top scoring teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference when they play host to the No. 22 North Carolina State Wolfpack (19-6, 9-5 ACC) on Saturday. North Carolina State dropped their last game against the Virginia Cavaliers 63-50 at John Paul Jones Arena on Tuesday.
Terquavion Smith was a top performer in the losing effort with 19 points. The Wolfpack are fifth in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Boston College dropped their last game on Saturday at Silvio O. Conte Forum, falling to the Syracuse Orange 77-68. Quinten Post had 18 points in the loss, carrying the team.
The Eagles are 11th in the Atlantic Coast Conference.It’s the only meeting of the season between the teams. Boston College earned the win in the only matchup between the teams last season 69-61 at PNC Arena in February 2022. Post led the Eagles with 18 points, while Jaeden Zackery added 16 points.
Smith had 21 points and seven rebounds in defeat. Smith and Jarkel Joiner, averaging 18.5 and 15.8 points per game, respectively, are leading the Wolfpack in scoring this season. Smith also has dished 4.6 assists per game. Meanwhile, DJ Burns is grabbing 5.0 rebounds per game.
Makai Ashton-Langford (11.8 ppg) and Zackery (10.5) have supplied much of the Eagles’ offense. Zackery also has recorded 2.6 assists per game. T.J. Bickerstaff has posted 5.8 rebounds per game. The Wolfpack are averaging 78.4 points per game, ranking as one of the most explosive offenses in the ACC (2nd).
