The No. 14 Baylor Bears (17-6, 6-4 Big 12), one of the top scoring teams in the Big 12 Conference, welcome the Oklahoma Sooners (12-11, 2-8 Big 12) on Wednesday.
Oklahoma was dominated by the West Virginia Mountaineers 93-61 at WVU Coliseum on Saturday, their fourth straight loss away from home. Grant Sherfield was the scoring leader in defeat with 16 points. The Sooners remain ninth in the Big 12 Conference.
Baylor won their fourth straight home game in dominating fashion on Saturday at Ferrell Center, beating the Texas Tech Red Raiders 89-62. Jalen Bridges had 18 points and eight rebounds, carrying the team. The Bears are fifth in the Big 12 Conference.
The teams are meeting for the final time this season. After taking the only previous season meeting against Oklahoma 62-60 at Lloyd Noble Center on January 21, Baylor will be pursuing a season sweep. Adam Flagler led the Bears with 16 points, while Bridges contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.
Jalen Hill had 17 points in the losing effort. The Sooners have been led this season by Sherfield, who is averaging 16.9 points per game. Sherfield also has dished 3.3 assists per game. Meanwhile, Tanner Groves is grabbing 7.0 rebounds. Keyonte George has supplied much of the Bears’ offense, averaging 17.2 points per game.
Bridges is pulling down 5.9 rebounds per game, and Flagler is doling out 4.5 assists. With 78.9 points per game, the Bears are one of the top scoring offenses in the conference (2nd). The Bears have had the advantage in the last 10 clashes between the teams at Ferrell Center, winning seven.
