The Montana State Bobcats (7-5) will try to slow down one of the country’s top scoring teams when they are on the road to face the No. 5 Arizona Wildcats (10-1, 1-1 Pac-12) on Tuesday.
Montana State dismantled the Northwest Indian Eagles 144-59 at Max Worthington Arena on Saturday, their fourth straight win. With 23 points, Great Osobor was the leading scorer. Jubrile Belo chipped in with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Arizona won their fourth in a row on Saturday at McKale Memorial Center, beating the Tennessee Volunteers 75-70. Azuolas Tubelis had 19 points and nine rebounds to lead the team. The Bobcats have been led this season by RaeQuan Battle, who is averaging 17.3 points per game.
Meanwhile, Belo is grabbing 6.0 rebounds per game, and Darius Brown II is dishing 5.2 assists. Tubelis and Oumar Ballo have powered the Wildcats’ offense, averaging 20.1 and 18.1 points per game, respectively. Ballo also has averaged 9.3 rebounds per game. Kerr Kriisa has distributed 6.7 assists per game.
The Wildcats are one of the most explosive offenses in the nation, ranking third with 90.5 points per game. Montana State is 6-4 in the last 10 games with an average margin of +12.6 (82.2-69.6).
