The TCU Horned Frogs (4-1) will try to slow down one of the NCAA’s top scoring teams when they host the Iowa Hawkeyes (5-0) on Saturday. TCU triumphed yesterday at The Arena at NW Florida St, beating the California Golden Bears 59-48. Mike Miles Jr. had 23 points to lead the team. The Horned Frogs triumphed in the last meeting between the teams 94-92 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in March 2017.
The Hawkeyes have been led so far this season by Kris Murray, who is averaging 21.0 points per game. Murray also has grabbed 8.8 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Tony Perkins is dishing 3.6 assists.
Miles Jr.’s 12.8 points per game have powered the Horned Frogs on offense. Eddie Lampkin Jr. is posting 6.0 rebounds per game, and Shahada Wells is tallying 5.0 assists. The Hawkeyes are one of the top scoring offenses in the country, ranking fifth with 91.6 points per game.
