Ottawa Senators @ Toronto Maple Leafs – 7PM ET

It has been a pretty underwhelming start of the season for the Ottawa Senators as they come into this game as losers of six out of their first ten games on the year. They will be looking to get things back on track with a victory on the road against the Toronto Maple Leafs here on Wednesday night as they look to pick up their fifth victory of the young season. They currently sit in last place of their division, and it is clear to see why, as they give up nearly 4 goals per game, which is not sustainable and will not lead to victories for them. They have lost four out of their last five games on the season and they will be looking to get back on track with a much-needed victory here on Wednesday night on the road in Toronto. This will be the first game back on the road for them after two quick games at home which they lost and now they will be looking to bounce back and snap their two game losing streak as well.

It’s been a somewhat okay start to the season for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they are hovering around .500 through their first 12 games of the year. superstar Auston Matthews was a goal scoring machine throughout the first few games of the season but that has changed rather quickly and he will desperately need to get back on the score sheet if Toronto wants to find long-term success this season. Toronto comes into this game with six victories through their first 12 games of the year and they will be looking for their seventh victory of the season here in this one on Wednesday night at home against the Ottawa Senators. They snapped a four game losing streak in their previous game with a victory over Tampa Bay, and they will be looking to grab a second consecutive victory here in this one against Ottawa at home. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Toronto Maple Leafs to pick up the victory in this game on Wednesday night over the Senators.

Florida Panthers @ Washington Capitals – 7:30PM ET

The Florida Panthers come into this game looking to get a solid victory on the road in Washington here on Wednesday night as they look to get their season on track early on in the year. Florida is usually one of the most competitive teams within the conference but they are off a pretty slow start this season, and they will desperately need to get things turned around rather quickly. Florida comes into this game hovering around .500 as they have picked up six victories in their first 11 games of the year and they will be looking to make it seven out of 12 another quality performance against Washington here in this one. They are currently in the middle of the pack of the division, and some of their struggles can be attributed to the fact that they give up about three goals per game, which will not lead to many victories in the NHL. If they can clean that up on the defensive end of the ice, they have a really good shot at picking up a victory over the Capitals here in this one on Wednesday night.

Washington comes into this game looking to pick up a solid early season victory at home over Florida as they look to get their season on track and the momentum rolling in the right direction. They come into this game dead even through their first 10 games of the season as they have five victories to their name and they will be looking for their sixth victory of the year here in this one. Washington is in a similar situation as Florida as they give up three goals per game, but they have not been nearly as efficient on the offensive end of the ice as they barely average two goals per game which has left them on the losing side of some close games throughout the early part of the year. They will be looking to clean up their play on both ends of the ice and be more efficient during this game on Wednesday night and if they can accomplish that they have an opportunity to pick up a solid victory at home in this one. They have plenty of momentum at the moment after winning four out of their last five and I look for them to grab another victory here in this one on Wednesday night.

Los Angeles Kings @ Vegas Golden Knights – 10PM ET

The Los Angeles Kings come into this game looking to get a solid early season statement victory over the defending Stanley Cup champions here on Wednesday night on the road in Las Vegas. They are off to a pretty respectable start this season as they have picked up 16 points out of a possible 22 and they come into this game with seven victories to their name on the year as well. They will be looking for their eighth victory of the season on the road on Wednesday night against a very tough Vegas Golden Knights team, and they will have to play one of their best games of the season so far if they want to leave Las Vegas with a victory. Los Angeles comes into this game in third place of the division and a victory in this game would give them a huge opportunity to gain some ground on the division, leading Vegas Golden Knights here on the road on Wednesday night.

The Vegas Golden Knights are off to a fantastic start this season, and they are not experiencing any type of championship hangover throughout the early part of the year. They will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with another victory at home over the Los Angeles Kings here on Wednesday night as they look to further establish themselves as the favorites to win their second consecutive Stanley Cup trophy. Vegas comes into this game having earned 23 out of a possible 24 points and they have 11 victories through their first 13 games of the season as well. They will be looking to pick up another two points and their 12th victory of the season here in this one on Wednesday night at home against the Los Angeles Kings. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Vegas to come out on top of a back-and-forth game here on Wednesday night at home.
