Nashville Predators @ Boston Bruins – 7PM ET

The Nashville Predators come into this game on Saturday night looking to grab an upset victory on the road against the Boston Bruins. Last season Boston finished as the best team in the NHL and they were very tough to beat at home after their historic regular season. That is something Nashville will have to be cautious of as they will not grab an easy win here on the road in Boston on Saturday night. This will be the third game of the season for Nashville and the second game in three days for them after they played at home against the Seattle Kraken last night, and opened up the season with a loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on the road. 

The Boston Bruins come into their second game of the season looking to grab their second victory of the season after opening up the year with a two goal victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night. This will be the second game of a quick two game homestand for the Boston Bruins and they will be looking to get their home slate started off on the right foot with two victories in two opportunities. They looked solid with the puck the other night and they will be looking to replicate that performance in game number two of the season here against the Nashville Predators on Saturday night in Boston. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Boston Bruins to pick up their second victory of the season in this game.

Minnesota Wild @ Toronto Maple Leafs – 7PM ET

This will be the second game in three days for the Minnesota Wild after they opened up their brand new season at home against the Florida Panthers on Thursday night. Minnesota will be looking to grab a victory in their opening road game of the season against a solid Toronto Maple Leafs squad that has aspirations of winning a Stanley Cup this season. Minnesota looks solid on both ends of the ice in their season opening game against the Florida Panthers on Thursday night and they will be hoping to replicate that performance here on Saturday night against Toronto when they had north of the border to Canada for game number two of the season. 

The Toronto Maple Leafs opened up their brand new season with a victory, and they will be looking to make it to consecutive victories here on Saturday night against the Minnesota Wild at home. Toronto has looked solid throughout the early part of the season and the preseason as they are looking to build on their somewhat successful postseason last year. It was a pretty successful night for the Toronto Maple Leafs on the offensive end of the ice as they totaled six goals in a shootout victory over the Montréal Canadiens. Auston Matthews picked up right where he left off by scoring during the opening night of the season and I expect them to grab a second consecutive victory here on Saturday night at home as well.

New York Rangers @ Columbus Blue Jackets – 7PM ET

The New York Rangers will be looking to pick up a quality victory on the road in Columbus here on Saturday night as they look to grab their first road victory of the season against a young Columbus Blue Jackets team that will be playing their second game in the last three days. The New York Rangers will also be playing their second game in the last three days, and they opened up the season with a huge victory on the road against the Buffalo Sabres. They put up five goals in their season opening game and they will be looking to replicate that performance here on Saturday night in Columbus as they look to grab two road victories in their first two opportunities of the season.

The Columbus Blue Jackets had plenty of expectations coming into the season after a disappointing year last year. Columbus will be looking to bounce back here on Saturday night and their second home game of the season against the New York Rangers after they were unable to get the job done against the Philadelphia Flyers. This is a problem that hurt Columbus in plenty of games last season as they hopped out to an early lead against the Philadelphia Flyers, but they were unable to keep them off the board as they ended up relinquishing four goals, and it led to them losing by a score of 4-2. I don’t see this game going much better for them here on Saturday night as I look for the New York Rangers to grab the victory on the road.

Vancouver Canucks @ Edmonton Oilers – 10PM ET

This will be the second consecutive game that the Vancouver Canucks face off with the Edmonton Oilers and this time they will hit the road to Edmonton for game number two of the season. These two teams opened up the regular season together on Wednesday night, and it was all Vancouver as they put eight goals on the board in an absolute thrashing of the Edmonton Oilers at home to open up the season with a massive victory. Now they will be looking to replicate that performance here on Saturday night on the road as they look to shut down Connor McDavid for the second consecutive game. Grabbing a second consecutive win over Edmonton would be the perfect start to the season for the Vancouver Canucks. 

The Edmonton Oilers will be looking to bounce back after being blown out by the Vancouver Canucks in the opening game of the season on Wednesday night on the road in Vancouver. It was a quiet night for Connor McDavid as he failed to record a goal and Edmonton failed to stop Vancouver from scoring after giving up eight goals in their season opening game and only managing to score a single goal throughout the game as well. It was an embarrassing loss for a team with as much expectations on the season as Edmonton has, and they will be looking to recover here in game number two to even up their record and get revenge for their loss of Vancouver the other night. That is exactly what I expect as I look for a much more competitive game, and for this one to end in an Oilers victory as well.

Carolina Hurricanes @ Los Angeles Kings – 10:30PM ET

The Carolina Hurricanes will be looking to pick up their second victory of the season here on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Kings on the road. Carolina got their season off to a solid start with a two goal victory over the Ottawa Senators and they will be looking to make it two consecutive victories with another win here on Saturday night on the road in Los Angeles. This will be their first road game of the season and they are playing in a pretty tough venue so they will have to play one of their best games of the year if they want to get the job done here in Los Angeles against the Kings. Carolina is riding pretty solid momentum after putting up five goals in their season opening game and they will be looking to replicate that performance here in this one.

It was not an ideal start to the season for the Los Angeles Kings, but they will be looking to bounce back in their second game of the year here on Saturday night at home against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Los Angeles Kings had a pretty solid season last year and they were a very tough team to beat at home and they will be hoping to keep that trend heading in the right direction with a victory here on Saturday in their second home game of the season. They opened up their season by getting thrashed by the Colorado Avalanche and that is something they will need to improve upon after they let up five goals to Colorado on the opening night of the year at home. Unfortunately for Los Angeles I don’t see that changing much as I have the Carolina Hurricanes grabbing the win in this game on Saturday night.
